Todo es energía. Einstein lo estableció concluyentemente con su famoso teorema E=MC2, el cual demostró que la materia y la energía son intercambiables. Concerniente a la materia, Einstein una vez comentó, "Todos hemos estado equivocados. Aquello a lo que hemos llamado la materia es energía, cuya vibración ha disminuido tanto que es perceptible a los sentidos. La materia no existe".

Posiblemente, esta verdad haya sido validada actualmente por la ciencia cuántica, pero ya era conocida por los hindús antiguos quienes emplearon el termino maya, representando la ilusión que a menudo se confunde con la realidad. La energía (incluyendo a la "materia") es sólo conciencia, y vice versa.

La noción que todo es energía o conciencia se aplica directamente a la biología humana. La anticuada visión materialista del cuerpo como una máquina que puede utilizar energía, pero al mismo tiempo ser distinguible de ésta, está dando lugar a pruebas innegables de que nosotros, también, somos la manifestación de la energía consciente. El modelo holográfico ve al supuesto universo físico como frecuencias electromagnéticas intersectadas, que en efecto, transmiten las ilusiones que interpretamos como el mundo… y hasta nosotros mismos.

En una de las obras clásicas del campo de la sanación energética, Vibrational Medicine, el Dr. Richard Gerber llega a la conclusión que la materia, incluyendo a las células humanas, es en realidad luz "congelada". El investigador en salud Dr. Leonard Horowitz llega a precisamente la misma conclusión, escribiendo en DNA: Pirates of the Sacred Spiral que los seres humanos son "luz cristalizada o precipitada".

Esta aseveración no solamente es compatible con el modelo holográfico y la investigación rusa reciente sobre la energía "torsiónica", pero también con las conclusiones de la física cuántica más convencional, que han demostrado que la luz (así como el ADN) es capaz de guardar y recordar información.

La noción de la luz como información, o "luz en formación", es muy antigua y por siglos ha encontrado su expresión en varias clases de geometría sagrada. Otros han sugerido que los ángeles, a menudo descritos como mensajeros divinos, son en realidad ángulos o rayos de la luz que expresan la información (típicamente percibidos como "Inspiración") de origen celestial. Esto amplió la concepción de la luz como una forma de conocimiento y apuntala, por ejemplo, la cosmovisión Tolteca de Don Miguel Ruiz, el médico, chamán y escritor del éxito de ventas The Four Agreements (Los Cuatro acuerdos).

Nuevas investigaciones neurológicas indican que la capacidad tremenda del cerebro humano, operando incluso por debajo del diez por ciento de su capacidad, resulta no sólo de la bioquímica pero de su habilidad asombrosa para funcionar como una base de datos holográfica y sistema de recuperación de información (un "disco duro") que emplea ángulos de luz diferentes para leer información ("software").

De esta manera se insinúa que el cerebro es un bio-computador holográfico sofisticado que opera a través de frecuencias electromagnéticas. No es de sorprender, que se haya demostrado que el ADN funciona de una forma muy semejante. La biología humana puede ser entonces considerada electromagnética por naturaleza por lo tanto, como el Dr. Deepak Chopra observó, las células humanas, lejos de ser simplemente envases funcionales, son en realidad campos electromagnéticos de posibilidad y el potencial.

Las frecuencias electromagnéticas humanas pueden ser vistas claramente en el aura. Hay un acuerdo generalizado de que los seres humanos poseen un aura detectable. La fotografía Kirliana ha captado este halo iridiscente alrededor del cuerpo por décadas; y recientemente, la Dra. Valerie Hunt, catedrática en la UCLA y autora de Infinite Mind: Science of the Human Vibrations of Consciousness, ha medido el aura humana con una máquina de EEG (electroencefalografía). A comienzos del siglo XX, se teorizó que el aura estaba compuesta de varias bandas de frecuencia electromagnética conocidas como campos áuricos, y que cada uno de estos campos gobierna los distintos aspectos de la biología, psicología y espiritualidad humanas.

Cada campo electromagnético también corresponde a y se comunica con una dimensión específica. El tercer campo, por ejemplo, está codificado a la tercera dimensión. Los campos electromagnéticos podrían ser como una matriz geométrica, una "escala de Jacob" que admite el acceso para dominios de frecuencia cada vez más sutiles. Este desenvolvimiento de la percepción a un rango completo representado por los campos áuricos y chakras correspondientes significa volverse "pluridimensional".

De acuerdo con Gregg Braden en The God Code, el nombre hebreo antiguo para Dios, palabra también de cuatro letras, es en realidad la codificación para el ADN sobre la base de la composición química del código genético. "Aplicando este descubrimiento al lenguaje de la vida", escribe Braden, "os elementos familiares hidrógeno, nitrógeno, oxígeno, y carbono que moldean nuestro ADN pueden ser reemplazados con letras claves … haciendo esto, el código de la vida se transforma en las palabras de un mensaje atemporal [que] reza: 'Dios/Eternidad al interior del cuerpo'".

Si Dios está efectivamente en el cuerpo--y el conocimiento y la fisiología están, desde una perspectiva evolutiva, unidos--debemos reconocer que el conocimiento divino está disponible en y a través de la fisicalidad.

Un aspecto intrigante del ADN es que la mayoría de las personas utilizan solamente el diez--algunos incluso creen que solo el tres--por ciento de este. El restante noventa por ciento ha sido descartado por la ciencia tradicional como "chatarra".

Curiosamente, el hecho de que usemos solo el diez por ciento de nuestro ADN como máximo tiene correlación al hecho de que usamos a lo sumo el diez por ciento de nuestro cerebro. Más provocador aún, es que de acuerdo con uno de los más recientes modelos científicos, la Teoría de Cuerdas, menos que diez por ciento de la materia en el universo es visible. El otro noventa por ciento es llamado "materia oscura" y bien podría existir en otras dimensiones.

¿Podría el ADN "chatarra" tener potencial biológicamente transformativo aguardando ser activado?

¿Podría la activación de la parte sin usar de nuestros cerebros de algún modo conseguir liberar nuestras facultades de percepción divinas, permitiéndonos subir la "escalera pluridimensional" de nuestros campos electromagnéticos y así experimentar el noventa por ciento del universo invisible?

¿Luego de la consagrada sabiduría de "así como es arriba, es abajo", el hecho de que estas facultades de percepción estén apareciendo efectivamente en muchas personas, especialmente en niños extraordinariamente talentosos, podía tener que ver con un aumento en la luz superluminar que emana del Centro Galáctico?

Muchos creen que la respuesta para todas estas preguntas es uno sí rotundo. De acuerdo con escritor William Henry, los físicos "han determinado que un vasto océano cósmico el de la quintaesencia … invisible a nuestros de telescopios … rodea las galaxias visibles. Si tienen razón, esta 'materia oscura' … que compone lo [qué] … vemos 'ahí' también está 'aquí'… esto implica que 9/10 de nosotros mismos es también desconocido".

Braden, quien empezó su carrera como un científico geológico, fue uno de los primeros de la comunidad científica en teorizar, basado en gran parte en los cambios observables de la Tierra, que nuestro planeta está experimentando una aumento de frecuencia en sí mismo que activara, en última instancia, el potencial latente de nuestro ADN.

Como detalló en Awakening to Zero Point, esta activación evolutiva, o "Iniciación Colectiva", posiblemente se relacione con las frecuencias armónicas de la Tierra, conocida como la resonancia de Schumann. Aunque esto es un tema científicamente polémico y tiene que ser suficientemente demostrado, varios investigadores todavía creen que algunos, posiblemente el aspecto dimensional superior de la resonancia de la Tierra está incrementándose. Quizás los nuevos datos facilitarán nuestro conocimiento colectivo.

Braden argumenta que el hipotético aumento de la frecuencia de la Tierra, posiblemente vinculado con "información de luz" más densa o más brillante proviene de una actividad celestial incrementada, esto resultará en nuevas combinaciones de aminoácidos--en esencia, un nuevo ADN. De una perspectiva genética, esto es equivalente a decir que una nueva forma de vida está emergiendo de la especie humana.

Esto no es tan raro como podría parecer en un principio, dada la capacidad espectacular del ADN para un aprendizaje adaptable. Recientemente, la frase "biología cuántica" apareció en respuesta (en algunos casos) a pruebas presuntamente ocultadas que indican que actualmente una tercera cadena de ADN se está activando en los seres humanos, constituyendo lo que podría ser un "triple hélice".

Creo que la creación de una tercera cadena de ADN es una realidad; sin embargo, incluso como una metáfora para desarrollar la inteligencia latente de nuestro ADN existente, la noción de una tercera hélice tiene cierto valor conceptual.

Sobre el tema del surgimiento de un nuevo genotipo de los seres humanos, Judith Bluestone Polich escribe en Return of the Children of Light que "los códigos para despertar nuestra fundación ancestral--concretamente, nuestra luz interior--pueden estar escondidos dentro de la estructura de nuestro ADN". Mientras individualmente "comenzamos a recordar quienes somos, una nueva conciencia aparecerá. [Tan] pronto cuando esta revisión llegue a una masa crítica, provocará un salto evolutivo a una nueva especie humana--el largamente esperado, dotado cuánticamente, ser humano espiritual conocido por las culturas antiguas como el Hijo de la Luz".

Todos los seres vivientes emiten luz. Anticipando la más reciente investigación rusa en "genética de ondas", durante los años 20, otro científico ruso, Alexander Gurvich, promovió el concepto de la señalización de frecuencia de luz vía "rayos mitogénicos" en células humanas. Más tarde en Alemania, Marco Bischof publicó un texto muy influyente intitulado Biophotons: The Light in Our Cells. Antes de 1974 la teoría del biofotón del científico alemán Fritz Albert Popp había confirmado la hipótesis básica mitogénica, demostrando que el ADN es la fuente de la bioluminiscencia. La teoría de Popp, a su vez, fue confirmada por Herbert Froehlich y el laureado del Premio Nobel Ilya Prigogine.

En círculos de la biología se está prestando más atención a un sistema conocido como "comunicación de luz por biofotón" que parece ser esencial para muchos procesos reguladores en organismos vivientes. El holograma celular que sería el equivalente del sistema nervioso, es una red de comunicación sofisticada que emplea luz para la transferencia de datos y opera mucho más rápidamente que el sistema nervioso y puede ser considerada una bio-computadora cuántica de tiempo real (procesamiento paralelo), teniendo en cuenta una interfaz electromagnética no mediada por el ambiente de la persona individual.

La Teoría de la Resonancia Mórfica del biólogo Rupert Sheldrake indica que la bioluminiscencia celular es tanto personal como transpersonal. En otras palabras, no sólo está el ser humano individual "conectado en red" con emisores y receptores de luz de ADN; aparentemente nuestra especie entera está morfogenéticamente conectada a una red, de la misma manera en que las células individuales moldean una entidad biológica más grande: la humanidad.

Esta afirmación ha sido demostrada por un equipo ruso de investigadores en genética dirigidos por el Dr. Peter Gariaev, y cuyas conclusiones comparan al ADN no sólo a una bio-computadora holográfica pero también a una "internet biológica" que conecta a todos seres humanos. Muchas tradiciones de sabidurías nativas están basadas en una comprensión similar del universo (incluyendo a los habitantes humanos) como una sola forma de vida inteligente conectada en red de la misma manera que un organismo biológico.

"Las enseñanzas orientales nos dicen que la luz viviente está codificada en nuestra forma", Polich escribe. "El concepto antiguo del macrocosmos como un microcosmos … nos dice que la [luz] divina superior se refleja en el cuerpo humano. Dicho de otra manera, esto quiere decir que … el … humano espiritual ha codificado un plano divino dentro de él".

Este cianotipo divino, al cual Polich se refiere, siguiendo la tradición cabalística de Adam Kadmon, también es llamado el Cuerpo de Luz. El Cuerpo de Luz no es ningún concepto esotérico pero más bien una realidad biológica, una realidad de la que surge una bioquímica "espiritual" y genética que permite la encarnación de toda la luz de la conciencia unitaria en cada célula del cuerpo.

El Cuerpo de Luz empezará a expresarse cuando las claves del ADN durmientes sean decodificadas por la energía de torsión, particularmente ondas de sonido y de luz de una naturaleza superior, de forma que nuestras células empiecen a reconocer la luz como una fuente de energía y la metabolicen como las plantas lo hacen con la fotosíntesis. Entre muchos otros beneficios, esta evolución celular es capaz de incrementar el metabolismo significativamente--contribuyendo a la desintoxicación, la rehidratación y, en última instancia, a la regeneración.

En este proceso extremadamente transformacional, los cristales líquidos de células evolucionan de las estructuras cúbicas o hexagonales primitivas observadas en tejidos humanos normales a lo que han sido llamados tetraedros "estelares". Este cambio estructural es sumamente importante. Los ángulos de unión del hidrógeno de nuestras moléculas de agua literalmente se ensanchan y se vuelven tetraedros trabados de manera que puedan contener más luz o energía fotónica que resulta parcialmente de las mismas uniones expandidas del hidrogeno. Estas estructuras que constituyen la matriz líquida para la sangre nueva y los tejidos parecen Estrellas de David tridimensionales o Merkabahs moleculares. Merkabah es una palabra cabalística antigua que significa "vehiculo de luz".

Esto sirve para explicar la confusión que ha rodeado el concepto de Merkabah a menudo, que ha sido usado para denominar a un tipo de nave espacial. La ironía es que el Merkabah sí es un tipo de nave espacial, esta nave espacial es el Cuerpo de Luz genéticamente activado de la persona individual.

De acuerdo con Barbara Marciniak, el Merkabah "Representa la figura del ser humano en su estado más ilimitado--el humano totalmente libre … el Cuerpo de Luz es el cuerpo que contiene en su integridad la mutación de la especie. Este [puede] hacer malabarismos con las realidades a través del cambio de la conciencia por el propósito" como cambiar canales en un televisor.

En una línea similar, Tashíra Tachí-ren en What Is Lightbody? describe al Merkabah como "una estructura Cristalina de Luz que permite que uno atraviese por el espacio, el tiempo, y las dimensiones, totalmente".

El Cuerpo de Luz resulta y funciona de la personificación de luz o conciencia superior. Representa el resultado natural de la evolución de la percepción que está ocurriendo en la conciencia, por algunas señales, a un nivel planetario. De esta perspectiva, quizás no exista tal cosa como la ascensión, solo la "descensión" de la luz del alma a la forma física.

El Cuerpo de Luz también puede ser, literalmente, la nave espacial que nos permita viajar a las estrellas. Tachí-ren ve en "ir hacia el Cuerpo de Luz [como] solamente una parte de un proceso mucho más grande [en cuál] todos los planos y dimensiones se [fusionan] de vuelta a la Fuente de este universo, que luego se une con otros sistemas--Fuente entonces, así sucesivamente, vuelve a Uno". Sin embargo lo definimos como el regreso al hogar, el Cuerpo de Luz es el vehículo que nos lleva ahí.

Breaking News: CDC Leery of Estimates about Swine Flu's Toll

WASHINGTON--Government health officials are urging people not to panic over estimates of 90,000 people dying from swine flu this fall.

"Everything we've seen in the US and everything we've seen around the world suggests we won't see that kind of number if the virus doesn't change," said Dr. Thomas Frieden, head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

While the swine flu seems quite easy to catch, it so far hasn't been more deadly than the flu strains seen every fall and winter--many people have only mild illness. And close genetic tracking of the new virus as it circled the globe over the last five months so far has shown no sign that it's mutating to become more virulent.

The Shift in Human Consciousness: Part III (Transcript)

The transcript, which has been divided into three parts to be posted sequentially, is from an audio seminar presented July 10, 2009, and can be listened to here.]

Part III: Becoming Light

It also must be stressed that the personal and collective evolution of consciousness and physiology we are embarking on presently as a species involves a positive genetic (trans)mutation that empowers humans to expand our multidimensional awareness while, effectively, becoming light.

Everything is energy. Einstein expressed an understanding of this truth in his famous theorem E=MC2, which established the interchangeability of matter and energy. Concerning matter, Einstein once remarked, "we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter."

Arguably, this truth that now has been validated even further by the quantum sciences was known to the ancient Hindus when they employed the term maya, meaning the illusion often mistaken for reality. Without a doubt, vanguard Russian scientists such as Kozyrev, Gariaev and Poponin who have studied torsion waves understand that energy (including so-called matter) is consciousness, and vice versa.

The notion that everything is energy or consciousness directly applies to human biology. The materialistic view of the body as a machine that may run on energy but is somehow distinguishable from it, is fast giving way to undeniable evidence that we, too, at our most fundamental level, are manifestations of conscious energy.

The holographic model views the ostensibly physical universe in terms of intersecting electromagnetic frequencies that, in effect, project the staggering illusions we think of as the world … and ourselves. "When two waves come together they interact with each other producing [a hologram]," writes Horowitz. "Information is processed and cell structures are organized by these forces including the structure and standing waves created by DNA."

By now it should not strike the listener as "coming from left field" to learn that in Vibrational Medicine, Dr. Richard Gerber concludes that matter, including human cells, is actually "frozen light." Horowitz reaches precisely the same conclusion, bluntly stating that humans are "crystallized or precipitated light." This assertion is consistent not only with torsion-wave research and the holographic model, but also with the findings of more mainstream quantum physics, which has demonstrated that light (much like DNA) is capable of both carrying and remembering data.

An insightful perspective on how the human body operates via--and even is composed of--light is provided by Dr. David Jernigan in an article entitled "lluminated Physiology and the Medical Uses of Light," where the author explains,

Top researchers believe that our thoughts cause the mind to set up a morphogenetic field, which in turn fuels bio-holographic ... projections in the heart. These projections in the heart use biophotonic (laser-like) coherent emissions to transmit information and control inputs to the DNA and from the DNA to the entire crystalline matrix to support the thought command. In theory, heart-generated light traveling through the liquid crystalline matrix 'optical fibers' of the body can produce 'supercontinuum light,' thereby maintaining its coherence and resulting in the multi-system wide effects seen when one biophotonic emission frequency from the heart is sent through the body’s crystalline matrix ... [DNA contains] photo-receivers and photo-transmitters, and it may be that DNA is where the coherent signal is split into supercontinuum light to produce the 'super-biohologram' that is the human body. It would seem that our thoughts are commands to the heart. The heart photonically imprints the DNA with the information to make the thought command come true.

The concept of light as information, or "light in formation," is an old one that for centuries has found expression in various types of sacred geometry. Others have suggested that angels, often depicted as divine messengers, are really angles or rays of light that convey information (typically experienced as "inspiration" and often centered in the heart) from a celestial source.

This expanded conception of light as a form of consciousness underpins, for example, the Toltec worldview of Don Miguel Ruiz, medical doctor, shaman and bestselling author of The Four Agreements, whose cosmology includes the Photon Band as a connector between Galactic Center and our sun. With the latter being Earth's primary source of light or information, the reverence for the sun in virtually all pre-industrialized cultures appears not naïve, but an informed and deliberate focus on humanity's local source of universal creative consciousness.

"DNA ... is a specific vibration of light that comes from the sun and becomes matter," observes Dr. Ruiz in Beyond Fear: A Toltec Guide to Freedom and Joy. "Every kind of life on Planet Earth, from … stones to humans, has a specific vibration from light that comes from the sun. Each plant, animal, virus and bacterium has a specific ray of light … condensed by Mother Earth and the information carried in the light becomes matter."

Neurological research indicates that humans' tremendous brainpower, even operating below ten percent of our capacity, results not just from biochemistry, but from the brain’s impressive ability to function as a holographic data storage and retrieval system (a "hard-drive") that employs different light angles to read information ("software").

This implies that the brain is a sophisticated holographic biocomputer that operates through electromagnetic frequencies. Not surprisingly, DNA has been shown to function very similarly. Human biology thus may be considered electromagnetic at the level of its manifestation from the torsion life-wave that sustains it. As Deepak Chopra has observed, human cells, far from being merely functional vessels, are in actuality electromagnetic fields of possibility and potential.

Human bioenergetic frequencies can be identified clearly in the aura. Researchers now generally agree that humans possess a detectable aura. Kirlian photography has captured this iridescent halo around the body for decades. In 1972 biophysicist Richard Alan Miller developed a field theory to explain the aura. More recently, Dr. Valerie Hunt, UCLA professor and author of Infinite Mind, actually measured the human aura with an EEG machine. Early in the 20th Century, it was theorized that the aura comprises various frequency bands known as auric fields, and that these govern distinct aspects of human biology, psychology, and spirituality.

Each of these so-called auric fields also corresponds to, and interfaces with, a specific dimension. The third field, for instance, is keyed to the third dimension. The auric fields can be thought of as a geometric matrix, a "Jacob’s ladder" that allows access to increasingly subtle frequency domains.

This unfolding of perception to the full range represented by the bioenergy fields and corresponding chakras is what it means to become "multidimensional." It is believed by Wilcock, myself and others that eight dimensions (not counting the "transdimension" of Source) are available to human perception at our present evolutionary stage, which means that operating in the first three dimensions, as most people do, humans currently only access just over a third of "reality." This does not even take into account the probable existence of multiple parallel realities.

According to Braden in The God Code, the ancient Hebrew four-letter name for God is secretly code for DNA based on the genetic code's chemical composition. "Applying this discovery to the language of life," writes Braden, "the familiar elements of hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, and carbon that form our DNA may now be replaced with key letters … In so doing, the code of life is transformed into the words of a timeless message [that] reads: 'God/Eternal within the body.'"

If God is indeed in the body--and consciousness and physiology, from an evolutionary perspective, are linked inextricably--we must acknowledge that divine consciousness is available in and through physicality.

One highly intriguing aspect of DNA is that most people utilize only about ten--some say as little as two or three--percent of it. The other ninety percent or more has been dismissed by mainstream genetic science as "junk."

Interestingly, the fact that we use at best ten percent of our DNA correlates to the fact that we use at most ten percent of our brain. Still more provocative is that, according to one scientific model, String theory, less than ten percent of the matter in the universe is visible. The other ninety percent or so is sometimes called "dark matter" and, given the nonlocal quality of the torsion energy at its base, very well may reside in other dimensions.

Could "junk" DNA actually have biologically transformative potential awaiting activation? Could it somehow activate the unused portion of the human brain? Could this brain activation succeed in opening our godlike perceptual faculties, allowing us to climb the "multidimensional ladder" of our auric fields and experience the invisible ninety percent of the universe? Following the time-honored wisdom of "As above, so below," could reports that these perceptual faculties indeed are emerging in many people, especially today's extraordinarily gifted children, have anything to do with an increase in torsion energy in the form of superluminal light emanating from Galactic Center?

Many believe the answer to all these questions is an emphatic yes. According to William Henry, physicists "have established that a vast cosmic ocean of quintessence … invisible to our telescopes … surrounds the visible galaxies. If they are right, this 'dark matter' … that composes [what] we … see 'out there' is also 'in here' … This implies that 9/10 of ourselves is also unknown."

"It seems clear that our hidden human potential is now unfolding,” observes Judith Polich. "The higher order of consciousness that represents our next leap in human evolution is now being activated, and we are evolving into a higher frequency of light [...] Moreover, it is possible that the hidden potential lies within the very fabric of our DNA."

Polich quotes evolutionary biologist Elisabet Sahtouris, who observes that "the history of evolution has repeatedly demonstrated that DNA is capable of rearranging itself intelligently in response to changing environmental conditions. Therefore, some types of mutation may not be random at all." In fact, according to Sahtouris, our "DNA may be capable of utilizing information and making conscious changes in its structure. That is, it may consciously direct the process of mutation, thus transforming a species."

In a wonderful article entitled "Living Systems in Evolution," Sahtouris elaborates on the current "changing of the guard" in our way of thinking about the nature of DNA:

In molecular genetic biology this shift is supported by fifty years of research evidence that DNA reorganizes itself intelligently when organisms are environmentally stressed, and that the required information transfer often seems to obey some form of nonlocality rather than slower chemical or electromagnetic transmission. Rather than being the sources of variation and evolution, errors known to occur in DNA during reproduction and by cosmic radiation or other accidents are recognized at the molecular level and fixed by repair genes. Thus we see intelligence at work not only in higher brains, but in the lowliest of bacteria and cellular components. Clearly, we are moving toward a post-Darwinian era in evolution biology.

Braden, who began his career as a geological scientist, was one of the first from the scientific community to theorize, based largely on observable Earth changes, that our planet is experiencing some type of frequency increase that ultimately will activate the dormant potential of our DNA. As detailed in Awakening to Zero Point, this evolutionary activation, or "Collective Initiation," possibly relates to Earth's harmonic frequency, known as the Schumann resonance.

Although this is a scientifically controversial subject, and has yet to be substantiated adequately, a number of researchers, myself included, still believe that some, possibly higher-dimensional (torsion) aspect of Earth's resonance indeed is increasing in keeping with the evolutionary timeline encoded in the Mayan calendar and explained in such compelling intuitive sources as The Law of One. Perhaps new data will facilitate our collective understanding.

Braden argues that Earth's hypothetical frequency increase, possibly linked to denser or brighter "light information" stemming from increased celestial activity, will result in new combinations of amino acids--in essence, new DNA. From a genetics perspective, this is tantamount to saying that a new life-form is emerging out of the human species.

This is not nearly as odd as it at first may sound, given DNA's spectacular capacity for adaptive (trans)mutation. Recently, the phrase "quantum biology" has appeared in response (in some cases) to allegedly suppressed evidence suggesting that a third strand of DNA currently is activating in humans, forming what may be a "triple helix." I believe the creation of a third strand of DNA is a potential reality; however, even as a metaphor for evolving the latent intelligence of our existing DNA, the notion of a third helix has a certain conceptual value.

The generally accepted notion that DNA in its double-stranded form is a universal molecule actually finds little support when we examine the activity of DNA itself. As previously emphasized, DNA continuously is changing, mutating. To claim it is impossible for DNA to morph into another molecule represents an empiricist bias based on so-called immutable facts (that the DNA molecule has been around a long time in more or less the same configuration, for instance) which are called into question by, among other scientific discoveries, the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and the logic-defying realization that we create our reality by observing it.

Inevitably, the scientific community is coming around to an awareness of the mutable nature of what heretofore were considered nature's immutable laws. In the words of biologist Rupert Sheldrake in The Presence of the Past, the "assumption that the laws of nature are eternal" actually stems from early Christian influence on the scientific method that was developed in the 17th Century. "Perhaps the laws of nature have actually evolved along with nature itself, and perhaps they are still evolving?" wonders Sheldrake. "Or perhaps they are not laws at all" but are "more like habits?"

In the theoretical case of radical genetic (trans)mutation from two to three rungs of DNA, we still are looking at a single molecule of life. There is simply (or not so simply) the addition of a third rung requiring a reconfiguring of the manner in which base pairs of nucleotides (protein bases) attach to the rungs. This might occur through a large-scale genetic rearrangement as described by Colm Kelleher in his article "Retrotransposons as Engines of Human Bodily Transformation."

On the subject of the emergence of a new genotype of human, Polich writes that "the codes to awakening our ancestral endowment--namely, our inner light--may lie hidden within the structure of our DNA." As we individually "begin to remember who we are, a new consciousness will emerge. [As] soon as this revisioning reaches a critical mass, it will trigger an evolutionary leap to a new human species--the long-awaited, quantumly endowed spiritual human known to ancient cultures as the child of light."

All living beings emit light. Anticipating the latest Russian research in wave-genetics, in the 1920s another Russian scientist, Alexander Gurvich, pioneered the concept of light frequency signaling via "mitogenic rays" in human cells. Later in Germany, Marco Bischof published an influential text entitled Biophotons: The Light in Our Cells. By 1974 German biophysicist Fritz Albert Popp's biophoton theory had confirmed the basic mitogenic hypothesis, demonstrating that DNA is the source of bioluminescence.

In biology circles, more and more attention is being paid to a system known as "biophoton light communication" that appears essential to many regulatory processes in living organisms. The cellular hologram equivalent of the nervous system, this intricate communication network that employs light for data transfer operates far more quickly than the nervous system and may be considered a real-time (parallel-processing) quantum biocomputer allowing for an unmediated electromagnetic interface with the individual's environment.

Sheldrake's Morphic Resonance theory strongly suggests that cellular bioluminescence (which in humans ranges from ultraviolet to infrared) is both personal and transpersonal. In other words, not only is the individual human "networked" with DNA light emitters and receptors; it also appears our entire species is networked morphogenetically much like individual cells that form a larger biological entity: humanity.

This assertion has been substantiated by the Gariaev group, whose findings liken DNA not just to a holographic biocomputer, but to a "biological Internet" that links all human beings. Many native wisdom traditions are based on an equivalent understanding of the universe (human inhabitants included) as a single living being intelligently networked like a biological organism. A similar understanding of the ultimate systemic unity of reality is the absolute foundational concept behind The Law of One.

"Eastern teachings tell us that the living light is encoded in our form," writes Polich. "The ancient concept of the macrocosm as microcosm … tells us that the greater divine [light] is reflected in the human body. Expressed in another manner, this means that … the spiritual human … has encoded within it a divine blueprint." This divine blueprint, which Polich refers to following the kabalistic tradition as the Adam Kadmon, also has been referred to as the lightbody.

Throughout the centuries, the lightbody has been called by many names. Other historical names for the lightbody include the "Diamond Body" and "Jade Body" (Taoism), the "Merkabah" (Kabala), the "Adamantine Body" (Tantra), the "Glorified Body" (Christianity), "Holy Flesh" (Catholicism), the "Superconductive Body" (Vedanta), the "Supercelestial Body" (Sufism), the "Radiant Body" (Neo-Platonism), the "Immortal Body" (Hermeticism), the "Body of Bliss" (Kriya Yoga), the "Perfect Body" (Mithraism), and the "Golden Body" (Emerald Tablets).

According to author and researcher Sai Grafio, who contributed to the foregoing list, the Tibetan Buddhist tradition is the only ancient tradition that actually refers to our ascensional vehicle as the lightbody. It goes almost without saying that the building of any kind of body, "natural" or "supernatural," is accomplished by way of life's building block, DNA, in one form or another.

With great prescience in the middle of the 20th Century, Indian philosopher and holy man Sri Aurobindo referred to the lightbody as the "Divine Body," explaining that it "is indeed as a result of our evolution that we arrive at the possibility of this transformation … Here a slow and tardy change need no longer be the law or manner of our evolution; it will be only so to a greater or lesser extent so long as a mental ignorance clings and hampers our ascent."

In the Bible, the lightbody is referred to as the "Spiritual Body" and the "Wedding Garment." The resurrection and glorification of the body is a central dogma of the Catholic Church, which maintains detailed records of lightbody activations in its strict records used in the canonization process for saints. Perhaps the most famous biblical passage that appears to describe the transformation of the human body into a lightbody occurs in Saint Paul's epistle I Corinthians 15:39-44:

All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differs from another star in glory.
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption.
It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

James Redfield, Michael Murphy and Sylvia Timbers cite this passage in God and the Evolving Universe: The Next Step in Personal Evolution, a thoughtful and scholarly study of planetary evolution and human potential whose focus--surprising for a National Bestseller--turns out to be "luminous embodiment." In light of our current discussion, one passage from this illuminating book is worth quoting:

[W]e can begin to picture bodily changes that might accompany the further development of our greater attributes, supposing: first, that esoteric accounts of bodily transformation, though frequently fanciful, reflect actual developments of physical structures as yet unrecognized by science; second, that supernormal capacities, like their normal counterparts, require distinctive types of supporting structure and process; and third, that we can extrapolate from physiological changes already revealed by modern research in imagining bodily developments required for high-level change.

Clearly, the lightbody is no starry-eyed, esoteric fantasy, but at the very least a biological possibility--one that, by various indications, gives rise to a radically new "spiritual" biochemistry and genetics that allow for the incarnation of the light of unity consciousness in every cell of the body.

In the profoundly transformational process of lightbody activation, which for many of us is likely to be experienced as a global event sometime around December 21, 2012, it would appear from the esoteric literature that the liquid crystals of cells evolve from primitive hexagonal structures observed in normal human tissues to what have been called "stellar" tetrahedrons. Needless to say, this structural change is extremely consequential for biological expression.

In such a scenario, the hydrogen bond angles of our water molecules literally may broaden and become interlocking tetrahedrons in order to hold more light or photonic energy that partially results from the expanded hydrogen bonds themselves. These structures that form the liquid matrix for the new blood and tissues are thought to resemble three-dimensional Stars of David or molecular merkabahs. Merkabah is an ancient kabalistic word meaning "vehicle of light."

This helps explain the confusion that often has surrounded the merkabah, which sometimes has been taken to denote a type of spaceship. The irony is that the merkabah is a sort of spaceship--and that this spaceship is the individual's genetically activated lightbody.

According to Marciniak, the merkabah "represents the figure of the human being in its most unlimited state--the totally free human … The lightbody is the body that holds the complete mutation of the species. It [can] juggle realities through the shifting of consciousness by intent" like changing channels on a television. In a similar vein, Tashíra Tachí-ren describes the merkabah as a "crystalline Light structure that allows you to pass through space, time, and dimensions, completely in your totality."

Whatever its formal geometry may be, and there are various competing theories on this subject, the lightbody results from and operates through embodied higher light or consciousness. It represents the natural result of a perceptual evolution into enlightenment, based in unity consciousness and unconditional love, that is, by many indications, occurring on a planetary level with gathering speed and power.

From a certain perspective, there is perhaps no such thing as ascension, only "descension" of the light of unity consciousness into physical form. The lightbody also may be, literally, the spaceship that allows us to travel the multi- and transdimensional Black Road through the stars, ultimately all the way back to our Source.

In her own version of cosmological natural selection, Tachí-ren sees "going to Lightbody [as] only a part of a much larger process [in which] all planes and dimensions [merge] back into the Source for this universe, which then merges with other Source-systems, and so on, back to the One." However we define returning home, the lightbody--which itself appears to evolve into even higher expressions over time--is the vehicle that takes us there.

The Shift in Human Consciousness: Part II (Transcript)

Part II: Unconditional Love & Human Evolution

Another point related to human evolution that needs emphasizing is that the Shift now occurring is related directly to an increase in cosmic consciousness based in unconditional love. The Shift may be visualized as simultaneously evolution, revolution and, to borrow a term from the Weinholds, "LOVEvolution."

For some, the current global blossoming of consciousness is viewed as a natural process of human evolution. To others, this phenomenon appears more radical, a spontaneous genetic leap forward. Still others believe that this step is merely the bringing forth of what has existed always as a human potential: a revolution back in the direction of wholeness and integration. I trust by now the listener understands that these ways of envisioning our species’ present evolutionary phase are by no means mutually exclusive.

As the term LOVEvolution suggests, many believe that the dawning Age of Light or Age of Consciousness defines itself in relation to our capacity for unconditional love, our ability to transcend enemy patterning and victim consciousness while adopting unity consciousness that sees divinity in all things. From this standpoint, it might be said humans are evolving into a "biologically conscious" species capable of holding and sharing the light of unconditional love. As we will see momentarily, modern scientific research indeed supports the notion that the emotion of love is the key to true healing as well as conscious evolution.

It has been said that long ago, the ancient Maya conceptualized this next evolutionary stage occurring in the years leading up to 2013 as Mastery of Intention. Mastery of Intention appears to be another way of envisioning what I call conscious personal mastery, defined as unconditional love of oneself as simultaneously the Creator and the created extended outward to all perceived others.

Conscious personal mastery is achieved through activation of an embodied unity consciousness capable of infusing biology itself with new structures and possibilities quite outside the box of even much of today's "advanced" thinking about human bio-spiritual potential.

According to Joseph Chilton Pearce in The Biology of Transcendence: A Blueprint of the Human Spirit, "Transcendence is our biological imperative, a state we have been moving toward for millennia." The title of another intriguing study by Pearce neatly summarizes the name of the endgame we now are playing: Evolution's End: Claiming the Potential of Our Intelligence.

How does one master intention in order to claim this potential? How does one consciously evolve bodily into "transcendence through immanence"? In other words, how can we best foster conscious personal mastery to facilitate our own metamorphosis, our own transmutation into a higher way of being?

The previously cited research by Bruce Lipton proves that consciousness can reprogram DNA. Our earlier discussion of this topic centered on galactic consciousness, torsion waves spurring human evolution as Earth moves into a denser, brighter and "more conscious" area of the Photon Band. But what role does an individual's consciousness play in this cosmic drama of becoming?

Clairvoyance is unnecessary to see that human consciousness is expanding at a tremendous rate. A trip to the local bookstore demonstrates that consciousness, along with associated terms such as "intention" and "manifestation," has become a cultural buzz word.

It must be emphasized that the exponentially increasing focus on consciousness we are witnessing is not merely a "new age" phenomenon, as some in the old guard have tried to paint it. Popular bestsellers such as Michael Talbot's The Holographic Universe and Dr. Larry Dossey's Reinventing Medicine make a clear and compelling case that science is beginning to admit the ancient hermetic principle that Mind is reality's primary building block.

On this subject, renowned psychiatrist Stanislov Grof has written that "modern consciousness research reveals that our psyches have no real or absolute boundaries; on the contrary, we are part of an infinite field of consciousness that encompasses all there is--beyond space-time and into realities we have yet to explore."

Such an expansive view of consciousness also informs Dr. Leonard Horowitz's review of the science of quantum holography in DNA: Pirates of the Sacred Spiral, where he reminds us not only that a unified field of consciousness exists, but also that it "may be explained as emerging from a previously overlooked physical vacuum or energy matrix." From a human perspective, based on mounting evidence I barely have touched on, this nonlocal energy field functions through quantum connections between DNA and universal creative consciousness or torsion energy.

On much the same wavelength, in The Divine Matrix Braden examines the vast implications of three genetic experiments conducted between 1992 and 2000 that "shatter" the old materialistic paradigm on which traditional Newtonian science, and the resulting mechanical view of the body as a machine isolated from mind and spirit, are based.

The first of these experiments was Gariaev and Poponin's discovery of the "DNA Phantom Effect," which proves, to quote Braden, that: 1) "A type of energy exists that has previously gone unrecognized"; and 2) "Cells/DNA influence matter through this form of energy." (I engage in a more thorough discussion of this mind-blowing Effect in Chapter Twelve of Conscious Healing.)

The second experiment, reported in the journal Advances, was performed by the United States Army in the tradition of similar experiments conducted by Cleve Backster. The Army's experiment clearly demonstrated that the connection between DNA and emotion continues intact following physical separation between a person's DNA (sampled from inside the person's mouth) and the actual person experiencing the emotion.

In Braden's words, this experiment suggests that 1) "A previously unrecognized form of energy exists between living tissues"; 2) "Cells and DNA communicate through this field of energy"; 3) "Human emotion has a direct influence on living DNA"; and 4) "Distance appears to be of no consequence with regard to the effect."

The third and final experiment cited by Braden is the extraordinary research of cell biologist Glen Rein on the impact of coherent human emotion on DNA. Here, DNA inside human cells was isolated in a glass beaker and then analyzed (chemically and visually) in order to determine the impact of clearly sustained emotions, negative and positive, on genetic material as well as expression. According to Dr. Rein, "These experiments revealed that different intentions produced different effects on the DNA molecule causing it to either wind or unwind."

Rein and his colleagues discovered that anger, fear and similar emotions have the power to "unwind" the DNA molecule, literally decompressing and killing it. On the other hand, emotions such as joy, gratitude and love "wind" or compress DNA exposed to them, making DNA stronger and healthier.

According to Rein's data, it even may be possible for positive emotions rooted in love to revive or resurrect DNA apparently destroyed by negative emotions--an astounding phenomenon with truly enormous implications. Lest the skeptical listener dismiss this possibility, let us ponder the related implications of Gariaev's assertion that "research in wave-genetics … reveals potential applications with significant prospects for solving issues regarding the aging process and thus increasing life expectancy. This view is solidly grounded in [experimental] evidence."

Rein's findings on the impact of coherent emotion on DNA can help us answer the critical question of how to participate consciously in our own evolution in a very specific manner. His research makes a direct connection between life-giving torsion energy and uplifting emotions, particularly unconditional love, the most "coherent" of all emotions, indicating that love promotes healing and also literally may propel evolution.

Only the love-based emotions stimulate DNA to wind and become healthier and thus more capable of interacting productively with environmental stimuli. Hatred, depression, boredom and the like cause DNA to unwind, destroying the viability of genetic information necessary for healing as well as evolution.

In keeping with Rein's research, Barbara Marciniak in Path of Empowerment writes that "genuine feelings of love and appreciation for your body convey a positive message containing essential life-sustaining signals that result in excellent health." In direct contrast, maintaining "feelings of doom and despair, loneliness, helplessness, denial, anger, resentment, jealousy, greed, and fear conveys a negative message that promotes discord within the physical functions of the body." Marciniak concludes that the "ability to both give and receive love … holds the true key to healing because it is the most life-sustaining and affirming form of emotional expression."

Rein’s brilliant research, supported by Marciniak's inspired keys for surviving and thriving in a chaotic world in the process of transformation, indicates that the single most important factor in our personal evolution is our commitment to open ourselves to our own healing by giving and receiving the primary torsion wave known as unconditional love.

Appropriately, Wilcock's evolutionary model, founded in The Law of One, is crystal clear on the point that Earth and humans are evolving from a logos anchored in the third dimension to an existence rooted in fourth-dimensional, heart-based consciousness.

In The Biology of Transcendence, Pearce advances a hypothesis supporting this radical assertion based on the little-known fact that humans actually possess four neural centers in addition to the brain. One of these, currently in a state of development, is the "brain" located in and around the heart. Not surprisingly, the fourth or "heart" chakra, linked to the fourth "density" in The Law of One, typically is associated with Christ consciousness or unconditional love.

It is crucial that we understand the evolutionary engine behind this momentous developmental stage for our species, unconditional love, not as a weak abstraction, but as an omnipotent creational force of torsion energy that birthed--as it is still birthing--everything in the multiverse, including ourselves.

Unconditional love is named aptly because the creative principle of love places no conditions on its creations, allowing for the exercise of free will in the upward karmic spiral of evolving human consciousness. The Bible sums up this foundational concept in three words: God is love. For the ancient Egyptians and Maya, to cite but two examples, such infinite love associated with the life-giving feminine principle emanates from Galactic Center, also called the Central or Healing Sun.

Today this Core of our galaxy is thought by most scientists to be a black hole of massive proportions: the equivalent of as many as 4 million of our suns, or more. For decades it was believed black holes destroy everything that falls into them. Not too long ago, however, physicist Stephen Hawking performed an abrupt about-face when he was quoted as saying, "It seems that black holes may after all allow information within them to escape."

If we understand "information" to include hyperdimensional torsion-wave codes that create and modify life such as those that find expression meta-genetically via transposons in DNA, life indeed may originate, as whole civilizations of ancients claimed, from black holes.

Alternatively, it is possible that Galactic Center contains not only a black hole, but also a "white hole." In the words of investigative mythologist William Henry, "Of all the high-energy photons beamed at us by the Core, probably none are more puzzling than those emitted in gamma ray bursts. Astrophysicists speculate these bursts are coming from a white hole, a 'cosmic gusher' of matter and energy … [W]hatever a black hole can devour, a white hole can spit out. These white holes precisely conform to the image the ancients held of the center of our galaxy."

In Chinese the character for "crisis," "wei-chi," also means "opportunity." Writing on this subject in Terra Christa years ago, Ken Carey wisely observed, as if referencing the exact period of history we now are experiencing, "IF THERE IS A MEGACRISIS, THERE IS ALSO A MEGAOPPORTUNITY."

"Within a larger framework of reality," writes Marciniak, "a crisis can be thought of as a meeting of minds at the crossroads of opportunity--a juncture where you recognize exactly where you are and consciously choose the best possible outcome for where you are going."

The crisis, as well as the opportunity, of our time is to surrender the controlling aspects of our ego and its conditioned fear mechanisms to the primary torsion energy of unconditional love that is seeking to evolve us and is calling us as a species home.

This "home" may be simply a state of awareness that transcends duality and consciously exists in a multidimensional continuum. Wilcock sees "returning home" as a dimensional Shift referred to in the Bible as Ascension and in The Law of One as the "Harvest," in both cases envisioned as a spontaneous metamorphosis or transmutation involving consciousness as well as biology similar to what happened to Jesus in the Resurrection.

"There is a parallel in the Shroud of Turin," Wilcock notes, "where certain researchers have found that Jesus' body burned a complete three-dimensional image of itself into the cloth." Through experimentation it was determined that "such a burn could only be caused by an instantaneous blast at a very high temperature, 'zapping' the cloth like an X-ray."

Others also visualize returning home in terms of a radical Shift. Barbara Hand Clow has remarked that, in the final analysis, all dilemmas are perceptual--which implies that all solutions are perceptual as well. This sentiment is echoed by Judith Bluestone Polich in Return of the Children of Light, where humanity is described as standing on the brink of a collective perceptual "awakening. As the cosmic cycles of time are telling us, it is the time for a major turn upon the spiral path of evolving human consciousness, when the light that has descended into matter begins the ascent back to its origin."

The preceding quote also suggests that the home to which we have been referring may indicate some other place entirely. The 2012 alignment of the December solstice sun with Galactic Center creates what some ancients called the Black Road. It is conceivable we are meant to follow the Black Road home to our "transdimensional" Source, where we experience a state of being that altogether transcends this holographic reality composed of various "frequency domains," dimensions, or densities.

After all, a white hole is basically a black hole reversed. The two are thought to meet at their small ends like a pair of funnels. Mathematically, it should be possible to enter a black hole and emerge from a white hole in a completely new universe.

Part I: The Shift in Human Consciousness

Are you aware that a Shift in human consciousness is occurring even as you listen to these words that employs celestial triggers such as supernovas and Earth's alignment with Galactic Center in the years leading up to 2013 to trigger the evolution of our species? This is perhaps why, consciously or otherwise, you are listening to this audio seminar.

This Shift has been documented in a stimulating multimedia presentation entitled "Preparing for the Shift," by Barry and Janae Weinhold, Ph.D.s. Over decades devoted to the study of consciousness and evolution, the Weinholds, both trained psychologists and authors, have gathered overwhelming evidence that humanity is in the middle of a long-awaited Shift in consciousness predicted in hundreds of indigenous cultures all over the world.

Today this Shift is visible nearly every time you open a newspaper, turn on the TV, or check your email. It can be seen in the breakdown of many old structures such as those that underpin governments, banks, corporations and churches, as well as in families, couples, and individuals. It is also evident in the ecological breakdown of numerous Earth systems, a widespread perception time is accelerating, drastic changes in weather patterns (Global Warming), more people feeling overwhelmed by modern life's complexity, and increased polarization between groups, religions, and regions.

Fortunately, along with signs of breakdown, the Weinholds emphasize there is also considerable evidence of breakthrough: the appearance of stunningly gifted children in unprecedented numbers, the emergence of innovative and integrated healing modalities, people becoming less "religious" and more "spiritual," and the dawning of new communities and social structures based on servant leadership and other "win-win" partnership principles.

The significance of the winter solstice on December 21, 2012, according to the Mayan, Aztec, Incan and Hopi traditions, is that this date marks the close of several cycles of time. The first is the end of the 26,000-year (technically 25,625-year) Mayan calendar, also called the "precession of the equinoxes" and the Annus Magnus or "Great Year," considered by many a gestation or birth cycle for Earth. The Great Year charts our lengthy, cyclical journey through the twelve constellations of the zodiac.

Interestingly, the number 26,000 is very close to Plato’s "ideal" number of 25,920, as well as to the length of one third-dimensional evolutionary cycle of 25,000 years as described in the unparalleled body of intuitive teachings known as The Law of One. Mayan timekeepers believe that human evolution unfolds as a result of such precisely calibrated master cycles of time. They predict that Earth and humanity are about to be birthed into a new reality based on unity predicated on a dramatic advance in consciousness.

From a Mayan perspective, the Weinholds ask, "What began roughly 26,000 years ago?" Their extensive psychohistorical research indicates this marked the beginning of humanity's psychological individuation.

In human terms, becoming "individuated" means moving from being unconsciously united with the Creator or Ground of Being; to choosing to become divided from the Creator and developing separate individual consciousness; to finally returning to the Creator as conscious, aware individuals. Once people fully individuate, it becomes possible for them to make empowered, discerning choices and use intention to co-create reality with Source--or perhaps more accurately, to create reality as Source.

The second cycle of time ending around 2012 highlighted in "Preparing for the Shift" is the close of the Galactic Year. It takes 225 million Earth years for the Milky Way Galaxy to make one complete rotation in the sky, which is believed to be a birth cycle for our galaxy. From a galactic perspective, the Weinholds ask, "What was conceived on Earth 225 million years ago?"

They point out this was when Earth's landmass, known as Pangaea, began separating into what we now know as the seven continents. This process of planetary individuation not only correlates with continental drift theory; as explained in Part I of Conscious Healing, there is also an energetic correspondence between Earth's twelve tectonic plates responsible for continental drift and the twelve pairs of cranial nerves in the human brain, which are linked to the biblical Twelve Tribes.

Considered together, this evidence suggests that Earth, like humans, has undergone her own "separating out" as a precondition for individuation. Based on such interconnectedness, it is also reasonable to expect that as human consciousness exponentially increases leading up to the 2011-13 "window," Earth also will undergo a significant--and observable--transformation.

Astronomers studying Galactic Center report that it periodically becomes extremely active. During these episodes, it spews out fierce barrages of cosmic energy equal to thousands of supernova explosions. These outbursts are the most energetic phenomenon in the known universe.

A growing number of researchers such as Sergey Smelyakov, author of a fascinating paper entitled "The Auric Time Scale and the Mayan Factor," in addition to many indigenous peoples worldwide and an increasing number of intuitively derived sources including The Law of One, theorize that as Galactic Center becomes more energized, it catalyzes human evolution through frequency emissions of "torsion" energy waves transmitted to Earth via the sun.

A comprehensive scientific model for the "Energetic Engine of Evolution" has been proposed by David Wilcock, a renowned psychic and gifted speculative scientist whose theory of "Evolution as ‘Intelligent Design'" deserves summarizing here.

Citing the work of a vanguard of researchers including Tim Harwood, Glen Rein, Bruce Lipton, Aleskey Dmitriev, Vladimir Poponin and Peter Gariaev, Wilcock presents a model that unites many disciplines and provides several critical missing pieces to the evolutionary puzzle. In his own words, this provocative model "suggests that humanity is on the verge of a near-spontaneous metamorphosis into a more highly evolved state of consciousness."

Basing his analysis on the realization, embraced by more and more of today's scientists, that Darwinian evolutionary theory is "extinct," Wilcock observes that the "probabilities that DNA could evolve by 'random mutation' are so minute as to be utterly laughable--akin to the idea that if you have enough monkeys tapping away on typewriters, one of them will eventually produce a complete Shakespearean play."

Far surpassing the reach of gradual, incremental evolution, which certainly occurs as environmental adaptation, the fossil record from all over the planet makes it abundantly clear that species regularly evolve in heretofore inexplicable leaps and bounds, skipping what would seem from a Darwinian perspective to be crucial evolutionary phases. At the top of a long list of species whose evolution has baffled science is the human species.

Although for more than a century a "missing link" has been assumed to exist based on largely unchallenged Darwinian presumptions, scientists have never managed to discover it. "When we consider that the size of the brain literally doubled between that of humanity's apparent ancestors and ourselves, with no evidence of a smooth transformation whatsoever," writes Wilcock, "once again we see a spontaneous evolution of the creatures on Earth."

One scientist associated with National Geographic, studying the intricate bone carvings dating to 70,000 B.C. found at Blombos Cave in South Africa, concluded that behavioral evolution mirrors anatomical development--an important observation meaning, in Wilcock's words, that "spontaneous evolution is not simply physiological, but consciousness-related as well. When a new bodily form has emerged, consciousness changes appear to occur."

Physicist Amit Goswami, author of The Self-Aware Universe: How Consciousness Creates the Material World, advances a parallel theory of evolution in which consciousness is primary and matter is secondary. Goswami similarly points out that natural selection simply cannot account for significant changes in the complexity of systems--as in, from primate to human. "Instead," he writes, such changes "show the quantum leap of a creative consciousness choosing among many simultaneous potential variations."

Another forward-thinking scientist on a similar wavelength is physicist Lee Smolin. In The Life of the Cosmos, Smolin writes that the "idea that the laws of nature are immutable and absolute … might be as much the result of contingent and historical circumstances as they are reflections of some eternal, transcendent logic."

His intriguing alternative to this fixed viewpoint is "cosmological natural selection," where black holes grant access to different areas in the multiverse where cosmological conditions are at least somewhat different. The student of The Law of One should have no trouble seeing how this is an uncannily accurate description of the creation of new "octaves" of existence after the evolutionary potentials of previous octaves have been explored and integrated.

Moreover, as indicated by the Mayan calendar and very much supported by the cosmology elaborated in The Law of One, rather than in fits and starts, evolutionary fast-forwards of consciousness and physiology happen in organized, predictable cycles. Theorizing a "harmonic relationship" between the 26,000-year Mayan calendar and 26-million-year period between extinctions/evolutionary leaps in the fossil record, Wilcock notes that all Earth species suddenly have evolved, or metamorphosed, every 26 million years, making a strong case for "an outside energetic influence that operates in a regular, cyclic fashion."

Here as usual, Wilcock's seemingly radical theory is founded impeccably in research--this time, that of University of Chicago paleontologists David Raup and John Sepkoski, who discovered the 26-million-year cycle in the fossil record during the most complete study of marine fossils ever performed that examined over 36,000 different genera. Raup and Sepkoski's research, which reveals regular cycles of "punctuated equilibrium" involving spectacular examples of speciation, clearly shows unprecedented creatures spontaneously appearing in the layers of the ocean's crust over time.

"Most people simply write this off as asteroid/comet collisions or volcanic eruptions" causing these evolutionary jumps, writes Wilcock. "However, some of [these examples of speciation] occurred without any cataclysms going on. Living things, all over the earth, simply 'decided' it was time for a change. Or … something pushed them!"

More recently, Robert Rohde used this same set of data to uncover another cycle of much greater length: 62 million years. While Raup and Sepkoski's cycle only went halfway back to the start of life on Earth (about 250 million years), Dr. Rohde's cycle reaches all the way back to the dawning of life on our planet--approximately 542 million years ago. "Before skeptics hurl their inevitable brickbats," comments Wilcock, "let's be advised that Dr. Rohde's study was published in perhaps the single most prestigious, top-drawer science publication in the world … Nature."

To answer the question what outside energetic influence is responsible for such rhythmic evolutionary revolutions in species, it is necessary to factor in the concept of torsion energy. In Conscious Healing, I define torsion energy as universal creative consciousness, subspace energy or "aether" experiencing itself creatively in time.

Some writers, most notably Barbara Hand Clow, have focused attention on something called the Photon Belt or Photon Band, which can be envisioned as a torsion-wave "light lattice" connecting Earth via our sun to Galactic Center that serves as a guiding data communication network for human and planetary evolution. Such an understanding of the universal communication network is deeply "shamanic," underpinning the majority of the world's native wisdom traditions, as well as the technique for DNA activation I helped develop, the Regenetics Method.

While some astronomers have scoffed at the notion of a Photon Band, other scientists who grasp the higher-dimensional nature of this network's light understand that it not only exists, but plays a critical role in cosmic evolution. In 1962, wrote Ron Radhoff in New Science News, the year many

say we entered the Aquarian Age, we began to enter into the influence of [the] photon-belt … We will pass into the center of it by the year 2011 … St. Germain refers to the photon-belt as the Golden Nebula, a parallel universe of much higher vibration. Little by little it is absorbing our universe. As we merge with this higher vibration universe, it will become the catalyst for massive changes.

In Ken Carey's visionary writings, the Photon Band is said to be composed of various "creation beams," a phrase that anticipates both Mayan calendar scholar José Argüelles’ notion of the "Galactic Synchronization Beam" and scientist Paul LaViolette's "Galactic Superwave."

"In the course of its movement through space each galaxy passes through successive creation beams … designed to encourage processes relating to certain desired patterns of structural development," writes Carey. "Each of these regions establishes, through the quality and nature of its frequencies, a vibrational climate designed to elicit a specific type of creation."

"As this arm of the Milky Way galaxy has rotated slowly through this past creation beam," continues Carey, "the vibratory climate of that beam has encouraged humankind's emergence, multiplication, and flourishing … But [our] planet's continued physical movement through space is now bringing it out of that creation beam and out of the vibratory conditions [we] have known historically" into a new level of vibration designed to promote the emergence of more evolved life-forms.

Such an understanding of varying levels of vibration in different areas of the galaxy, and their intimate relationship with spontaneous speciation, as evidenced in the fossil record, is a hallmark of The Law of One, where what I am calling the Photon Band is described meticulously as operating in virtually clocklike fashion to promote spectacular jumps in conscious evolution. A central concept in The Law of One is that such evolutionary leaps are indeed leaps, being "graduations" from one "grade level" to the next which typically occur within a single generation.

Of humans it is stated, "Those who, finishing a cycle of experience, demonstrate … understanding … will be separated by their own choice into" an appropriate and comfortable dimension of experience. "All are harvested regardless of their progress, for [by this time] the planet itself has moved through the useful part of that dimension and begins to cease being useful for … lower levels of vibration."

Wilcock's encyclopedic research on this heretofore fringe subject takes into account reams of NASA and other scientific data proving that unprecedented climate changes (i.e., Global Warming) are occurring not just on Earth, but throughout our solar system. Based on this hard data, as well as extraordinarily consistent evidence derived from a plethora of intuitive sources, the phenomenon of "heating up" observed literally all around us is a direct result of our entry into a more energized area of space. Logically, this goes a long way toward proving that something like a Photon Band exists as regular patterns of hyperdimensional torsion radiation emanating from Galactic Center.

Both Wilcock and Clow envision the Photon Band as tracing figure-eights throughout the spiraling layout of the Milky Way Galaxy. It appears from Dr. Nikolai Kozyrev's research involving aether that such looping energy based on the Phi ratio (1.618...) is, among other things, directly responsible for our cyclical experience of time.

On this subject, the title of Gregg Braden's latest book speaks volumes: Fractal Time: The Secret of 2012 and a New World Age. I disagree with Braden's conservative interpretation of the 2012 phenomenon as merely an incremental, astronomical process engendering a relatively slow transformation of our species, but I greatly appreciate that he is helping many understand the deeply fractal nature of our reality.

The same fractal, spiraling torsion energy directly creates our DNA and imprints its inherent Phi ratio on practically all of nature's systems, from the way our hair swirls atop our heads, to the growth patterns of leaves on plants, to the unmistakable shape of many seashells. As Geoff Ward observes in Spirals: The Pattern of Existence,

The spiral is the sign of the eternal, creative, unifying and organizing force or principle at work in the universe, and especially of the ongoing creation of consciousness. It is a divine mark on nature, what may be termed God's personal signature on the cosmos, the Great Architect's own autograph--from the cradles of stars and planets in the awesome spiral arms of galaxies to the beautiful double helix structure of the DNA molecule [...] As the spiral seems to be integral to physical growth, so it is also the symbolic pattern of human spiritual growth ... [T]he spiral is as much part of our "cultural" DNA as it is part of our biological DNA [...] Indeed, I have come to realize that "spirality"--the condition of being spiral--and "reality" are almost interchangeable terms.

Recalling the aether theories of Kozyrev, fellow Russian scientist Sergey Smelyakov's research demonstrates that the harmonic vibrations of Phi, also referred to as the Golden Mean and Fibonacci sequence, inform the very fabric of space-time. Mathematically, the Photon Band appears to be structured on Phi, producing set cosmic intervals the Maya apparently were aware of when constructing their uncannily accurate calendar. Smelyakov's "The Auric Time Scale and the Mayan Factor" compellingly suggests that Earth connects to Galactic Center via our solar system in a harmonic, fractal fashion he calls "Solar-planetary Synchronism," a vibratory relationship based on the Golden Mean.

In an article entitled "The Ultimate Secret of the Mayan Calendar," Wilcock analyzes Smelyakov's research, writing that it helps explain the end of the Mayan calendar in geometric terms as an "infinitely-converging end point" in which time appears to "collapse." This is because time as we experience it follows the imploding spirals of Phi much like a finger tracing the cyclical involutions of a conch shell to its centerpoint.

A salient point in the evolutionary model I am elaborating here is that evolution of species ultimately is driven not by material, but by metaphysical energy, or consciousness, of a spiraling, "meta-genetic" nature.

Swedish Biologist Carl Johan Calleman reaches precisely the same conclusion in The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness, cautioning "against a narrow interpretation of the term cyclical. The Mayan calendar describes evolutionary rather than strictly cyclical processes, so history is more like a spiral of evolution, in which similar types of events are favored at certain points in the cycle."

Calleman is quick to clarify that the "results of these cyclical bursts of creativity are never identical; a repetition of identical cycles does not generate evolution. History is rather a process resulting from stepwise increasing levels of consciousness."

Reading between the lines, the experienced student of the Mayan calendar will hear in Calleman's words a critique of interpretations of the Mayan calendar as purely a measurement of revolving astronomical cycles--the type of "materialistic" reading given to the Mayan calendar by Braden and John Major Jenkins, for example. Instead, Calleman's Mayan calendar is, first and foremost, a map of the evolution of consciousness. Driving home his point, Calleman emphasizes that "endlessly repeated identical astronomical cycles could never explain the evolution of consciousness."

On the subject of utilizing the Mayan calendar as a spiritual map with a clearly defined teleological focus, Calleman writes, "If today we are to embrace a worldview in which consciousness is more important than matter, we … need to base our timekeeping on the nonphysical, invisible reality [that gives rise to reality] rather than on the physical."

History, then, does not exactly repeat itself; it is more like climbing a spiral staircase--one with pronounced evolutionary changes in consciousness (and body types) as we ascend from floor to floor.

Terrence McKenna's well-known "Timewave Zero" theory has many similarities to Calleman's reading of the Mayan calendar as a progression through various "Underworlds" of consciousness, as well as to Smelyakov's Solar-planetary Synchronism. In all three of these models, which to the best of my knowledge were developed independently of one another, evolution of consciousness occurs in exponentially increasing phases of intensity and velocity as we approach 2012, culminating in a virtually instantaneous transformation of reality.

To return to an earlier idea, torsion energy spiraling as the Photon Band from the creative consciousness at the Core of our universe is Wilcock's "Energetic Engine of Evolution."

Because of its curvilinear form, the Photon Band is composed of swaths of lesser and greater density of torsion waves manifesting as hyperdimensional light. As our solar system orbits episodically into galactic regions characterized by greater density of torsion waves (i.e., greater light or consciousness), which it is doing currently, life on our planet, including the living organism that is Earth, is stimulated intelligently to evolve in spectacular ways not only physically, but also mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

"By combining the effects of geo-cosmic change with the overall flourishing of humanity in the cultural and spiritual sense," observes Wilcock, "we see that as the cycle continues to exponentially accelerate its energetic rate of vibration into the 2012-2013 'singularity,' we can expect … rapid increases in human awareness." This centripetal cycle leads inexorably to a "discontinuous mega-event where 'time and space collapse.'" Perhaps this transformation of our experience of time and space is the truth behind the disjointed description of the "end of days" in the Book of Revelation.

In humans, evolutionary activation occurs as torsion waves stimulate DNA's transposons or "jumping DNA" to rewrite the genetic code--a phenomenon supported by a considerable amount of scientific data. Bruce Lipton's research in epigenetics, as detailed in The Biology of Belief, unambiguously affirms that cells possess the ability to reprogram their own DNA, with measurable physical results such as otherwise inexplicable dietary modifications in organisms, when prompted environmentally. Dr. Lipton hypothesizes that such rewriting, which is typically beneficial, accounts for up to ninety-eight percent of evolutionary transformation.

Similarly, in a concise but excellent study entitled "Retrotransposons as Engines of Human Bodily Transformation," biochemist Colm Kelleher addresses the subject of radical genetic evolution as a result of what he terms a "transposition burst." "If one were to hypothesize a transmutation of the human body," writes Dr. Kelleher, it

would be necessary to orchestrate a change, cell by cell, involving the simultaneous silencing of hundreds of genes and the activation of a different set of hundreds more. A transposition burst is a plausible mechanism at the DNA/RNA level that could accomplish such a genome wide change. Transposition bursts comprise the concerted movement of multiple mobile DNA elements from different genetic locations to new positions, sometimes on different chromosomes … Human DNA contains an abundance of the necessary genetic structures to accomplish a transposition burst involving hundreds, or even thousands, of genes.

Referencing a particular DNA sequence containing three different transposon families arranged in beadlike formation, Kelleher theorizes that owing to its tripartite configuration, this DNA sequence would be "an effective participant in large scale transposon mediated genetic change that eventually results in transformation of the human body."

Perhaps the most undeniable evidence supporting the concept of a torsion life-wave or Photon Band of universal creative consciousness "meta-genetically" directing the spontaneous formation and development of Earth species comes from Tim Harwood, who calls attention to one of nature's more miraculous phenomena.

After caterpillars form their chrysalis during metamorphosis, it is a little-known but very relevant fact that they completely dissolve into a soup of amino acids before reassembling into butterflies. This soup contains no recognizable cells or DNA as it is understood presently, but when the time is right, the torsion life-wave signals the DNA to recombine and, within a matter of days, cells emerge to create new life-forms.

Wilcock concludes that the human species, somewhat like caterpillars entering metamorphosis, currently is "being programmed by the galactic center to become more advanced while … still here in our bodies." This is made possible because the

DNA molecule is like a programmable piece of hardware … so that if you change the energy wave that moves through it, the jumping DNA will encode it into a completely different form. It is therefore possible that as we move into increasingly "intelligent" zones of energy in the galaxy, the DNA energy patterns for the creatures on the planet are all upgraded, and the mutations occur so rapidly--well within one lifetime--that no "transitional" fossils exist.

Earth's movement through a denser area of the Photon Band aligned with Galactic Center may have begun as far back as the 1930s but certainly by 1980; increased greatly in intensity around the time of the so-called Harmonic Convergence in 1987; will enter into a historical astronomical alignment around 2012; and will be complete (from our present linear perspective) by about 2016.

Over the course of the past two decades, as Wilcock and the Weinholds point out, major Earth, planetary and solar changes--from unprecedented alterations in planetary atmospheres to drastic surges in volcanic and earthquake activity--have been observed. Arguably of greatest significance from our perspective is that the sun now is moving into direct alignment with Galactic Center. During this transit, the sun's magnetic field has increased over 230% and there have been wild swings in levels of sunspot activity (as reported by NASA and other space agencies) that at times have transmitted record-breaking waves of electromagnetic (to say nothing of torsion) energy to Earth and, thus, to us.

It is worth noting we are composed of the same substances found in the heavens, so really it is not so odd that celestial events should impact us profoundly. Harvard professor of astronomy Robert Kirshner has remarked that "supernovas created the elements we take for granted--the oxygen we breathe, the calcium in our bones, and the iron in our blood are products of the stars."

Other researchers, observing that most of DNA's amino acids also are found in space, have hypothesized that DNA actually came from space--an increasingly popular theory known as "Panspermia."

Fascinatingly, Fritz Albert Popp's research describes the dying process of cells as virtually identical to that of stars. Just before dying, cells transform into "supernovas" as the light they emit increases in intensity a thousand times before suddenly being extinguished.

In 2006 NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope identified some of life's key ingredients in the dust spiraling around a developing star. These gaseous precursors to DNA and protein were discovered in the star's terrestrial planet zone, where rocky planets such as ours are believed to form. The findings represent the first time these gases have been found in a terrestrial planet zone besides our own.

"This infant system might look a lot like ours did billions of years ago, before life arose on Earth," commented one official from Leiden Observatory in the Netherlands and the Dutch space research institute SRON. Researchers were surprised to detect the organic (carbon-containing) gases around a star called IRS 46 in the Ophiuchus or "Serpent Bearer" constellation approximately 375 light-years from Earth.

Galactic Center, our point of origin, also is located in Ophiuchus. Writing on the subject of 2012 in Galactic Alignment: The Transformation of Consciousness according to Mayan, Egyptian, and Vedic Traditions, John Major Jenkins explains that Ophiuchus was a key player in the cosmology of Mithraism, the influential cult of the ancient Persian god Mithras who was associated with the sun, representing the "soul's passage through the galactic gateways that open during eras of galactic alignment."

It seems hardly coincidental that Ophiuchus, which is an occulted thirteenth zodiacal sign symbolizing, among other things, DNA in the form of one or sometimes two coiling snakes similar to the Greek figure of Laocoön, is located (from Earth's perspective) almost on top of Galactic Center. Here, in ancient symbolism, we find a direct link between the creational torsion waves emitted by Galactic Center and the DNA molecule to which, by all indications, they give rise.

Another amazing piece of evidence linking DNA to Galactic Center also came in 2006 when SPACE.com reported on a new study revealing that magnetic "forces at the center of the galaxy [had] twisted a nebula into the shape of DNA." This was the first time the double helix shape had been photographed in space.

"Nobody has ever seen anything like that before in the cosmic realm," said the study's lead author, Mark Morris of UCLA. "Most nebulae are either spiral galaxies full of stars or formless amorphous conglomerations of dust and gas--space weather. What we see indicates a high degree of order."

"The DNA nebula is about 80 light-years long," reported journalist Bjorn Carey, and "about 300 light-years from the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way." Carey goes on to explain that the "recipe for a DNA nebula is strict but simple. It requires a strong magnetic field, a rotating body, and a nebulous cloud of material positioned just right. Massive central black holes are the best sources for both the strong magnetic field and rotating body, and since most large galaxies have them, Morris expects DNA-like nebulae may be common throughout the universe."

Long before the development of modern-day science, in ancient times the Vedics were well aware of the "ener-genetic" connection between Galactic Center and DNA, as well as the many cycles of time ending around 2012, employing the term somvarta to describe the intelligent waves of Core energy responsible for the spontaneous evolution of species.

Another ancient concept, the Golden Mean, precisely defines the mathematical relationship between "above" and "below." The DNA molecule is structured minutely on Phi or the Golden Mean, measuring 34 x 21 angstroms for each full helical spiral. Concordantly, the average mean orbit of each of the planets moving away from the sun is also a Fibonacci sequence that translates to almost exactly 1.618.

Wilcock is quick to bring the discussion of the "DNA wave," that is in a profound sense "spoken" into being by Galactic Center, back to the Shift in human consciousness that currently is being fostered meta-genetically on a macrocosmic scale: "DNA ... is a resonantly-tuned antenna for the 'consciousness field,' and our entire Solar System is experiencing an energetic charge-up that our own fossil record suggests will have a spontaneous evolutionary impact on our DNA ... triggering the 'Ascension' or 'Golden Age' so many prophetic traditions have spoken of."

Breaking News: Swine Flu Vaccine Linked to Killer Nerve Disease

A warning that the new swine flu jab is linked to a deadly nerve disease has been sent by the Government to senior neurologists in a confidential letter.

The letter from the Health Protection Agency, the official body that oversees public health, was leaked to The Mail in August, leading to demands to know why the information has not been given to the public before the vaccination of millions of people, including children, begins.

It tells the neurologists that they must be alert for an increase in a brain disorder called Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), which could be triggered by the vaccine.

GBS attacks the lining of the nerves, causing paralysis and inability to breathe, and can be fatal.

The letter, sent to about 600 neurologists on July 29, is the first sign that there is concern at the highest levels that the vaccine itself could cause serious complications.

Alergias, enfermedades autoinmunes y la activación del ADN

Habiendo pasado casi una década al borde de la muerte, estoy profundamente agradecido con la Dra. Devi Nambudripad, pionera y creadora de la Técnica Nambudripad de Eliminación de Alergias (NAET, por sus siglas en inglés), técnica en la que se emplea la prueba de quinesiología para determinar alergias--un término que abarca sustancias químicas, sensibilidades ambientales y nutricionales que tienden a desquiciar el sistema inmunológico y contribuir a una variedad de patologías "incurables".

Una de las metas de este método revolucionario es la de tratar las enfermedades crónicas por el estímulo de acupresión sobre el sistema nervioso. Esto desencadena un "despeje" teóricamente capaz de eliminar "bloqueos" alérgicos que impiden que nuestra bioenergía fluya apropiadamente por el cuerpo.

A los veintisiete años mi vida empezó a desmoronarse inexplicablemente. Un día jugaba baloncesto tres horas de un tirón, era capaz de comer y beber cualquier de mis antojos; al siguiente me sentía atrapado en las garras de una enfermedad misteriosa, que uno por uno me privó de mis alimentos, bebidas, deportes favoritos e inclus--en la manera insidiosa que las enfermedades crónicas nos despojan--a muchos de mis seres amados.

Al principio me diagnosticaron con "depresión”, un término alegremente utilizado por la mayoría de los médicos cuando no hay una explicación correcta al mal que aqueja a sus pacientes. Yo sin embargo sentía muy dentro de mí, que esta "depresión" era el resultado, no la causa de la degeneración de mi cuerpo, el que una vez fuera atlético y saludable. Sin embargo, religiosamente seguí mis prescripciones, literalmente casi hasta mi muerte debido a una reacción adversa. En total desesperación, me aventuré al territorio "alternativo" en búsqueda de soluciones a mi tormento.

Mi primera parada en un viaje retorcido por el "País de las Maravillas" de las terapias complementarias empezó por mi boca. Un médico holístico sugirió que estaba siendo envenenado por mercurio y otros metales pesados que lixiviaban de mi trabajo dental, de este modo gasté una fortuna en reemplazar mis coronas y los rellenos dentarios con materias que según cabe suponer, son inofensivas. Quitando una carga tan tóxica de mi sistema, el alivio fue casi total por varios meses, debo decir que mi billetera también se alivianó bastante.

Cuando mis problemas con la Cándida y la fatiga volvieron, lo hicieron con toda la carga. Mis antiguos Némesis se aliaron por una serie desconcertante de síntomas aparentemente sin conexión que desafiaban cualquier diagnóstico médico con letal eficacia. A pesar de una serie de pruebas con resultados "negativos", todas las noches al acostarme sentía el toque de la muerte como una espada de Damocles pendiendo sobre mi cabeza. Además de mis alergias alimentarías que me debilitan hasta el agotamiento, sufría neuralgia facial, espasmos musculares, dolor lumbar, hipoglucemia, falta de aliento, y sensibilidades químicas.

En un esfuerzo por detener mi deterioro, tomé puñados de prácticamente cada suplemento existente en el mercado. Recibí la quelación intravenosa regularmente. Me practicaron desparasitaciones, seguí regimenes dietéticos especiales para combatir la Candidiasis. Experimenté con ozono y saunas infrarrojos. Probé el Reiki, la acupuntura, homeopatía, el biofeedback, los imanes, y los "zappers". Experimenté EMDR, la hipnosis, la Radionica, la "cirugía psíquica". Intenté todo y gasté fortunas, ¡pero al cabo de seis años, estaba más enfermo que nunca y empeorándome día a día!

La palabra "inspiración" es la que mejor refleja el proceso intuitivo que empecé en 2002 y que me condujo a considerar la noción radical que si podía "reiniciarme" de algún modo a nivel genético, mis más de treinta síntomas extraños me dejarían finalmente. Me encontré en este nuevo camino después de leer un libro perturbador escrito por Leonard Horowitz, egresado de Harvard, el titulo de esta obra Emerging Viruses (Virus Emergentes). Basándose sus aseveraciones en investigaciones meticulosas, el Dr. Horowitz en lenguaje persuasivo expone que las vacunas son la verdadera causa de una variedad de enfermedades autoinmunes, incluyendo al SIDA.

Esto puede caerle como un balde de agua fría a cualquiera que acepta ciegamente que las vacunas son seguras y su efectividad es infalible. Pero después de un año probando las ideas de Horowitz utilizando quinesiología (pruebas musculares), concluí que para que los retrovirus destructores de los sistemas inmunes puedan penetrar la sangre a través de "inmunizaciones" y alterar el código genético saboteando potencialmente la salud bajo una miríada de diagnósticos creativos tales como "Fibromialgia", "La Fatiga Crónica", y "Síndrome de Intolerancia Química Múltiple".

La causa primordial de muchas enfermedades autoinmunes es el daño genético ocasionado por factores tales como vacunas combinadas con la toxicidad celular. Como se evidencia por lo creciente de la literatura al respecto, estoy lejos de estar solo en esta opinión. Acepto que las células reúnen y retienen toxinas con el propósito de impedir y hacer mas lento el desarrollo de los muchos patógenos mutantes, tales como el virus simio 40 (SV40) ("SIDA de simios"), liberado en el organismo bajo el radar del sistema inmunológico por las vacunas.

El cuerpo sabe que son sustancias tóxicas--metales pesados y pesticidas, por ejemplo--no sólo son tóxicos al anfitrión, pero también a sus patógenos. Tal círculo vicioso puede llevar a la enfermedad ambiental y avería inmunológica en la que el cuerpo comienza a atacar a sus propias células tóxicas, pero es la única elección que tiene un biosistema que opera con ADN dañado.

Muchas personas se dejan llevar por la creencia que, como tienen un desorden autoinmune, son más tóxicos a causa de sus sensibilidades a sustancias químicas, ambientales o nutricionales. Dicho de otra forma, normalmente se asume que el cuerpo llega a ser más tóxico en estados autoinmunes ya que no sabe o no puede desintoxicarse a si mismo.

Basado en mi investigación y la experiencia personal del colapso genético, sin embargo, al parecer, la autoinmunidad es inducida por invasores genéticos extranjeros (que puede incluir alimentos genéticamente modificados) que reprograman negativamente el ADN utilizando el proceso de trascripción de RNA, instruyendo el cuerpo a replicar códigos artificiales al interior de sus propias células. Es decir, una vez que el ADN se ha reprogramado, tiene literalmente la habilidad de hacer crecer nuevas culturas celulares patogénicas (quizás "patogénetico" sería una palabra más apropiada).

Según Horowitz y muchos otros investigadores, los patógenos inducidos por la vacunación, además del virus simio 40, pueden incluir priones, micoplasmas, virus linfotrópico bovino, el virus felino de la leucemia, el virus de Epstein-Barr, y el virus del sarcoma de Rous--por denominar sólo unos pocos. Cuándo éstos están "cargados" en el código genético que utiliza la transcriptaza inversa ("escritura inversa"), cualquier número de condiciones autoinmunes puede resultar--del lupus a la leucemia, dependiendo de la constitución del individuo, su estilo de vida, además del número y el tipo de vacunas recibidas.

El cuerpo, con el conocimiento acumulado en millones de años de evolución, se da cuenta de que ha sido alterado fundamentalmente, pero actúa como una computadora que debe llevar a cabo los códigos en su ADN reprogramado. Esto conduce a una respuesta degenerativa de las defensas como el cuerpo acumula cada vez más toxicidad en una tentativa de provocar un cortocircuito a los patógenos invasores que crecen como hierbas malas en las células. El cuerpo utiliza simplemente lo que está disponible en su medioambiente para su guerra biológica contra si mismo.

Lo que sucede frecuentemente con la Candidiasis a continuación del daño genético es muy revelador. No hay nada intrínsecamente malo con la Cándida. En un organismo saludable que funciona correctamente, la Candida Albicans mantiene los tejidos sanos, siendo un carroñero de microorganismos y toxinas potencialmente perjudiciales.

La Cándida sólo se sale de control cuando el cuerpo trata de defenderse de alguna otra invasión, generalmente de naturaleza genética. Este ciclo es casi imposible de detener sin interceder "ener-genéticamente" porque el problema está en el ADN, el cual a menos que se reprograme para volver a realizar sus operaciones biológicas normales, continua un ciclo adverso replicando códigos mutantes, tratando inútilmente de limpiar un crecimiento anormal de microorganismos con otro crecimiento anormal.

Las sensibilidades y alergias aparecen cuando el cuerpo está tan ocupado en la guerra a nivel celular y del sistema inmune que no puede manejar sustancias extrañas adicionales. En muchos casos, las poblaciones de microorganismos están tan desequilibradas que estos consumen los nutrientes del anfitrión y producen un desecho tóxico adicional, tales como micotoxinas, dentro y fuera de las células--exacerbando así aún más el estado genéticamente atrincherado de autoinmunidad.

El enfoque prometedor de la Dra. Nambudripad llegó a mi vida cuando ya no tenía más opción que renunciar a mi trabajo como docente y estaba prácticamente postrado. NAET me dio la esperanza de poder curar el daño genético causado por las vacunas contra la hepatitis y la fiebre amarilla, desintoxicar mis células, y reedificar mis tejidos estropeados.

Inicialmente alentado por este método, me entrené en la rama del BioSET, un derivado de NAET, y después ya recuperando parcialmente, hizo mi vida normal antes de perder terreno una vez más. En el proceso, identifiqué dos puntos ciegos en los métodos tradicionales de limpieza energética tales como los utilizados en NAET y sus derivados que limitan su habilidad de corregir la autoinmunidad crónica.

El primer descuido es un enfoque típicamente "occidental" en signos físicos sin reconocer sus orígenes en nuestros campos bioenergéticos. Uno de mis mentores fue una figura importante en el campo de la Radiónica, un quiropráctico llamado David Tansley. El Dr. Tansley me proporcionó la base para mis nociones acerca de los campos de bioenergía--el cual puede ser imaginado como una serie de bandas electromagnéticas de alta frecuencia que rodean al cuerpo, cada una es responsable del funcionamiento apropiado de una glándula en particular, un órgano, etc. Siguiendo al vanguardista Tansley, y alentado por la visión de la ciencia cuántica del cuerpo como un holograma, comencé a entender estos campos como el Cianotipo electromagnético que da origen la forma humana.

Mi teoría fue que una vez "mapeados," los campos electromagnéticos se revelarían a sí mismos como "ecosistemas" donde varios factores interdependientes trabajan en crear vitalidad armoniosamente, o en caso de disonancia, producir las enfermedades. Desde un punto de vista energético o vibratorio, la discordia es la enfermedad. Un concepto crítico a retener aquí es esa interrupción de la armonía de los campos de bioenergía, por la toxicidad o el trauma, crea alborotos en el Cianotipo del cuerpo que asegura todos los procesos de la enfermedad. Supe que si podría llegar sin ayuda a reponer este Cianotipo, podría ir directamente a la raíz de mi enfermedad.

El segundo problema con las limpiezas tradicionales es llanamente que el sistema nervioso no puede procesar todas las frecuencias codificadas en los campos electromagnéticos como para transformar a un Cianotipo dañado. Contrario al paradigma conservador de que la curación sólo puede lograrse "un paso de bebé a la vez," mi propia experiencia sugiere que una enfermedad crónica requiere un "reinicio" radical, simultáneo de bioenergía--uno que sólo puede ser alcanzado a nivel del ADN.

A través de una extensiva investigación quinesiología, mi pareja Leigh y yo identificamos más de 3.000 firmas de energía sobre el continuum cuerpo-mente-espíritu del Cianotipo electromagnético humano. Una limpieza tradicional de esta escala excedería por mucho la capacidad del sistema nervioso más sano. Pero el ADN esta diseñado re-armonizar el sistema energético entero.

Después de trazar los campos electromagnéticos, nos abocamos en apretar el "botón de reinicio" en este Cianotipo bioenergético. Fue en este punto que comenzamos a comprender que el sistema nervioso nunca estuvo diseñado para remodelar el Cianotipo humano de bioenergía, que sólo el ADN, nuestra "bio-computadora," puede curar al cuerpo energético, y por lo tanto, que debíamos encontrar cualquier otro método de iniciar una reposición electromagnética además de acupresión para estimular el sistema nervioso.

Nos dimos cuenta de que si habíamos de activar el potencial de la auto-reparación del ADN, el que habíamos intuido junto con varios biólogos celulares tales como Glen Rein y Bruce Lipton, teníamos que encontrar el acceso al ADN sin laboratorios o probetas. ¿Pero cómo se hace esto? ¿Cómo se activa usted el ADN manipularlo físicamente?

En este punto tuve la fortuna de toparme con otro libro que cambió para siempre la manera en que vería a la medicina: The Cosmic Serpent: DNA and the Origins of Knowledge (La Serpiente cosmica: El ADN y los origenes del conocimiento), escrito por el antropólogo francés Jeremy Narby. El Dr. Narby pasó años estudiando técnicas curativas aparentemente milagrosas de chamanes amazónicos (hombres de medicina), que aparentemente curan a las personas utilizando el sonido para estimular el potencial auto-curativo en el ADN humano.

Intrigado (y desesperado) lo suficiente como para profundizar bastante en este asunto, aprendí que el poder del sonido para activar el ADN había sido documentado recientemente por el grupo Gariaev, un equipo ruso que reunió genetistas y lingüistas. Una implicación revolucionaria de esta investigación es que para activar el ADN, uno puede utilizar simplemente palabras.

Finalmente, había encontrado el mecanismo de reinicio genético que buscaba. El enfoque que Leigh y yo tomamos fue de desarrollar un tipo completamente nuevo de vaciado sinérgico, al que denominamos Potencialización: Remodelación Electromagnética, utilizando el sonido y la intención para activar el ADN en una manera semejante a la investigación rusa. Esto nos permitió trabajar a través del continuum cuerpo-mente-espíritu de los campos electromagnéticos. También nos permitió trabajar con métodos no invasivos para estimular el potencial de la auto-curación del cuerpo.

La Potencialización emplea combinaciones particulares de sonidos que personifican intenciones curativas sin ligación (es decir, sin tener orden del día) que son transmitidas al ADN del recipiente, iniciando una reacción en cadena de remodelación electromagnética diseñada para reiniciar los campos bioenergéticos del cuerpo hacia un funcionamiento armónico. Esto se logra sin alterar el ADN básico del individuo activando simplemente un potencial genético ya existente.

En mi caso particular, la Potencialización fue una metamorfosis. La jornada fue desafiante, tanto así que mi cuerpo-mente-espíritu sanó en una profundidad ener-genética y a un nivel que yo nunca me imaginé posible. No caben dudas de la profundidad de mi transformación. A mis treinta y ocho años puedo nadar dos millas a máxima velocidad, mis alergias alimenticias y problemas con Cándida han desaparecido, y--aunque ya no exactamente joven con un cabello que empieza encanecer--soy como un vino añejo, mejorando con los años.

Breaking News: Humans Glow

The human body literally glows, emitting a visible light in extremely small quantities at levels that rise and fall with the day, scientists now reveal.

Past research has shown that the body emits visible light, 1,000 times less intense than the levels to which our naked eyes are sensitive. In fact, virtually all living creatures emit very weak light, which is thought to be a byproduct of biochemical reactions involving free radicals.

(This visible light differs from the infrared radiation--an invisible form of light--that comes from body heat.)

To learn more about this faint visible light, scientists in Japan employed extraordinary sensitive cameras capable of detecting single photons. Five healthy male volunteers in their 20s were placed bare-chested in front of the cameras in complete darkness in light-tight rooms for 20 minutes every three hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for three days.

The researchers found the body glow rose and fell over the day, with its lowest point at 10 a.m. and its peak at 4 p.m., dropping gradually after that. These findings suggest there is light emission linked to our body clocks, most likely due to how our metabolic rhythms fluctuate over the course of the day.

Preface to the 2nd Edition of CONSCIOUS HEALING

When Conscious Healing: Book One on the Regenetics Method first appeared in 2005, my expectations (to the extent I had any) for this unprecedented blending of new science and "new age" spirituality were modest at best. I knew of no book quite like Conscious Healing then, and the same still applies today, so I literally had nothing to go on. And of course, self-publishing, while it can be rewarding, is a step into the unknown, with no support net to catch you if you fall.

So I was greatly surprised when Conscious Healing began putting up very respectable sales numbers indeed, consistently appearing on various bestseller lists at online venues such as Amazon.com, which it continues to do to this day.

I also was tremendously gratified by the enthusiastic editorial reviews Conscious Healing received, to say nothing of reader reviews that often spoke of a book that, by itself, was an "activation of consciousness," profoundly reminding readers of truths about human potential and conscious evolution they already knew but had forgotten, in whole or in part.

Nothing was so inspiring and humbling, however, as seeing so many readers go on to experience personal transformation through the Regenetics Method. While I affirmed from the beginning that Conscious Healing is a valuable book for its informational content alone, it hardly can be overemphasized that the life-changing effects of Regenetics cannot be described fully in words or grasped on a purely intellectual level.

Having been involved in an editorial capacity with the Spanish translation of Conscious Healing, during which I noted some areas of the text I felt could use clarification and/or expansion, I already was considering creating a second English edition--when I was contacted by a European company wanting to release Conscious Healing in German. When our negotiations ended in a publishing contract, I took this as a sign, and immediately set about to update the entire book.

That is the text you have now. To those already familiar with the first edition of Conscious Healing, I propose that if you liked that version, you will love this one. I wish both my loyal and first-time readers to know that a lot of renewed energy has gone into describing and substantiating the Regenetics Method, as well as the evolutionary context that has fostered it, as clearly and accurately as possible.

I have added nearly twenty percent more text to the second edition, much of which incorporates leading-edge scientific and philosophical content. Realizing that readers might benefit from a more detailed explanation of the sequence of Regenetics activations, I also have included a description of the fourth and final phase of the Method, Transcension Bioenergy Crystallization, as well as a brand-new chart showing, at a glance, the progression of the Regenetics Method Timeline.

Readers interested in 2012, the Mayan calendar, ascension and related topics have not been overlooked. In particular, Chapter Nine, "The Shift in Human Consciousness," has been positively packed with new evidence supporting this book's thesis that humanity--individually as well as collectively--is poised on the brink of a thoroughgoing metamorphosis into a far more enlightened way of being.

Needless to say, in my process of revision I have expanded the book's already considerable references, which show up both in the main text and the Bibliography. This has had a measurable impact on the Index, which has grown proportionally. I also saw the need to add several new terms to the Glossary, and to refine the definitions of some preexisting terms to reflect my own evolving understanding of this uniquely empowering form of energy healing.

Finally, all three of the book's Appendices have been updated. Because they are both informative and inspiring, in Appendix A I share nearly twice as many Testimonials from clients. In Appendix B I have added a number of Frequently Asked Questions and clarifications. And as for Appendix C, it is my sincere intention that readers will find the sample Electromagnetic Schematic more comprehensible on all levels.

In November of 2007, I wrote as editor in the introduction to a special issue of my popular free ezine DNA Monthly,

La Biología de la iluminación

La evolución de la conciencia humana a conciencia divina implica sanar la dualidad, el legado del "karma" y de la enfermedad tanto a nivel celular como a nivel atómico.

No hay enfermedad que no pueda ser sanada a través del ejercicio correcto de la intención. Miles de las así llamadas curaciones milagrosas documentadas demuestran sin lugar a dudas el impacto de la conciencia sobre el bienestar físico, emocional, mental, y espiritual.

La medicina de mente-cuerpo, la cual tiene un valor estadístico suficientemente importante como para ser parte de las enseñanzas en las Facultades de Medicinas modernas, brinda la prueba adicional de nuestra habilidad de curarnos a nosotros mismos. La investigación de biólogo molecular Bruce Lipton indica que las personas pueden modificar su ADN y superar las enfermedades terminales tan sólo cambiando su conciencia.

Deepak Chopra ha comentado que "la semejanza entre una idea y un fotón es muy profunda". Un fotón es una partícula de luz o quantum, o de cualquier otra radiación electromagnética. El Dr. Chopra está implicando una conexión entre la idea y la luz.

En muchas costumbres chamánicas, la idea (la intención) es considerada una forma o función de la luz de una dimensión superior. La mente es "la energía esclarecedora" la cual 'ilumina el sendero' de una idea o forma a ser transmitida y recibida", Alice Bailey escribió. "Sobre un rayo de luz la energía de la mente puede materializarse."

Luego de esta línea de razonamiento, podemos imaginarnos a nosotros mismos no sólo como "luz congelada" (citando al Dr. Richard Gerber) sino también como un "pensamiento congelado".

Esta manera de ver al cuerpo humano como un pensamiento congelado, idea que puede sorprender al lector como un principio muy extraño, es en el análisis final, profundamente vigorizante.

Los físicos cuánticos han demostrado repetidamente que un científico siempre afecta el resultado de un experimento observándolo, una noción ahora aceptada universalmente en la comunidad científica como el Principio de Incertidumbre de Heisenberg.

Todavía mas sorprendente es el descubrimiento que modifica paradigmas, que aumenta la dualidad de las ondas-partícula: la probabilidad de que el físico en realidad cree las partículas quánticas en de la ondas-partícula al efectuar la observación, ya que en estado inadvertido estas partículas parecen existir solamente como ondas.

Una verdad fundamental y revolucionaria surge de esta información: el conocimiento crea. Como seres humanos imbuidos por el libre albedrío, podemos usar el poder de nuestro conocimiento para recrear nuestra realidad: incluyendo pero no limitada a un cuerpo, mente y espíritu libres de enfermedades.

Hago hincapié en "volver a crear" porque, evidentemente, ya habitamos una creación. El mundo como lo conocemos está basado en el principio de la dualidad. Otra forma de decirlo es que una conciencia dividida o dualizada, que ya se ve separada de otras conciencias, incluyendo la unidad o conciencia divina, dio origen al universo como los seres humanos lo experimentan a menudo: un campo de batalla entre el bien y el mal, luz y oscuridad, correcto y malo, "nosotros" y "ellos".

Pero la dualidad no es simplemente una filosofía; es un estado de ser físico también. Los mismísimos átomos que componen nuestras células están basados en cargas positivas y negativas cuya oposición sostiene en cierta forma el flujo de la vida.

Dr. Lipton ha acuñado la frase "biología de la conciencia" para resumir la idea transformacional de que los organismos vivientes, incluyendo a los seres humanos, en lugar de ser donantes empíricos, son en realidad formas de pensamiento maleables.

En otras palabras, asumiendo una perspectiva cuántica, somos básicamente ondas que solamente son coherentes como partículas a través del acto de la conciencia. Cambiando nuestra conciencia, cambiamos nuestra forma física y su funcionamiento.

Curar significa volverse un todo. La curación resulta en la unificación y iluminación e implica la expiación, que en este contexto debe ser interpretada como "at-one-ment" (del inglés "atonement", expiación, y al que se le da el doble sentido de volverse Uno).

En un mundo en el cual se crea la idea y la biología es un producto de la conciencia, y no al revés, la mente tiene el poder de forjar una nueva biología, una basada de la dualidad pero sobre los principios de la unión y la armonía.

En Return of the Bird Tribes, donde un tema principal es el reencuentro del cuerpo humano con el alma en los años cruciales que estamos actualmente experimentando, Ken Carey resume con nitidez cómo debemos continuar, tanto por separado como colectivamente: "En el afán de la curación, la conciencia humana es la que debe cambiar primero".

Nuestro desafío, que es al mismo tiempo una oportunidad inmensa, es abrirnos a una forma, literalmente revolucionaria, de pensamiento que nos coloque en la existencia.

La iluminación se trata de elevar la conciencia y dejar a la luz al punto donde nos convertimos en eso. La iluminación verdadera sigue un sendero de dominio personal consciente que resulta en la transformación e involucra la creación de un Cuerpo de Luz estable, por definición. El Cuerpo de Luz es un vehiculo físico "Trinitizado" (equilibrado y armonioso) que ha resuelto la dualidad, el "karma" y la enfermedad a nivel celular y atómico.

Podemos conceptualizar el cambio evolutivo actual en nuestro ADN como un cambio de "sistemas operativos" de un archivo binario a una clave "trinaria" sobre la base "ener-genética" de la forma de tetraedro compuesta por tres partes. Podríamos ir mas lejos y afirmar que los seres humanos estamos evolucionando de la biología a la "triología".

Bajo esta óptica es más interesante que algunos en la comunidad científica alternativa hayan aludido a una investigación suprimida sobre una tercera cadena de ADN que se estaría activando en muchos seres humanos.

Una forma esclarecedora de visualizar cómo la metamorfosis de la fisiología unificada basada en la luz de hecho ocurre es fijarnos en una partícula cuántica conocida como positrónio.

El positrónio está compuesto de un electrón, que tiene una carga negativa, y un positrón, que tiene una carga positiva. El positrónio es un ejemplo perfecto de la dualidad. También nos ilustra de forma estupenda en cómo es creado el Cuerpo de Luz.

Debido a que los electrones y positrones son antipartículas opuestas, después de combinarse para moldear el positrónio, se cancelan mutuamente y decaen en dos partículas o cuantos de luz (fotones). Un tercer elemento estable y unificado, que no es ni positivo ni negativo, es creado entonces del dualismo preexistente.

Barbara Hand Clow ha escrito que este proceso de combinación y decadencia en el átomo del positrónio, reflejado en la activación del Cuerpo de Luz, "resuelve la dualidad inherente en luz… [siendo] el electrón la unidad básica de la activación--vida--provoca la transmutación del positrón--karma".

A diferencia de la idea popular, pero errónea, el karma no tiene nada que ver con el castigo y la recompensa. Existe como parte del archivo binario de nuestro universo holográfico o sistema operativo dualístico solamente para enseñarnos la responsabilidad sobre nuestras creaciones--y todas las cosas que experimentamos son nuestras creaciones.

Cuando estas creaciones están fuera de sintonía de la Fuente, se manifiestan a menudo en la falta de armonía conocida como enfermedad. Esto puede ocurrir no sólo en personas individuales sino también en civilizaciones enteras. En ambos los casos, la enfermedad, que es considerada típicamente una crisis, sirve simultáneamente como un estímulo poderoso para la transformación y la trascendencia.

En el proceso de elevar nuestra conciencia y activar nuestro Cuerpo de Luz, nos damos cuenta de que somos nuestra propia obra creadora, o nos hacemos a nosotros mismos, a imagen y semejanza de un creador. Efectivamente, debido a que en un holograma una parte contiene el todo, somos el Creador.

Aprendiendo esta lección profundamente transformativa, volvemos a la unidad de conciencia mientras dominamos a la fisicalidad. En otras palabras, conseguimos la iluminación cuando la luz desciende a un divino cuerpo sanado de la dualidad y liberada del círculo instructivo del karma.

Blame It on Rio

Have you ever finished something, only to begin it all over again? Have you ever stared death in the face, only to realize it was actually life? Follow our protean Hero's epic, but no less comical, Adventure of being human to the ends of the earth in Book VI of the BEGINNER'S LUKE Series in whose conclusion nothing is really concluded--which is precisely the point.

Life as an imaginary author named Sol Luckman carried on much the same as when I was an imaginary character named Luke Soloman—with a handful of noteworthy exceptions. First, as a native of South America, I developed an instinctual craving for tapioca. Second, I noticed my Portuguese sounded more clipped, more “Spanish,” an equatorial sotaque with subtle Amazonian intonations. Third, I remarked my posture improved, that I tended to hold myself more erect as my overall bearing became more—for lack of a better word—noble. Fourth and finally, I began to pick up on a marked difference in people’s attitudes toward me.

No longer “white,” I came to realize I wasn’t just dispossessed in the first impressions of the ruling class, wasn’t just another human being temporarily out of luck maybe but a fellow Homo sapiens all the same. I was another species entirely, a distant genetic cousin, one measurably lower on the evolutionary ladder—an inequality not even money, which I now had enough of to last me a while, could erase.

But fortunately, dinheiro did have a way of opening closed doors. I was able to move into a furnished penthouse (third-floor) apartment in a quaint little building in Gávea with picturesque views of the jungle out my bedroom and study windows and a landlord willing to overlook the fact I was indigenous (as opposed to indigent)—for three months’ rent in advance plus my security deposit.

And so it was with Luke Soloman steadily becoming a figment of the past that I, Sol Luckman, a figment of the present, took up independent residence for the first time. Like any pseudonym worth his salt, I focused my new existence on writing. I bought a used laptop with a printer and picked up where I’d left off when distrações got the best of me: Chapter Three of Book IV, “Le Dépanneur,” for now writing as Sol writing about Luke, though knowing I’d eventually be writing as Sol writing about Sol, even though I’d still be author and protagonist of the Beginner’s Luke Series ...

It may sound confusing, but in reality it was childishly simple: as author of my authorial self, I was merely drawing a circle.

If I could have designed my ideal workspace, it would have been my study. The natural lighting, the white stucco walls, the gentle whirring of the ceiling fan, the antique roller chair, the little brazil-wood desk facing the large French window opening outward onto the mata from where I could peer out over my laptop at diminutive furry-faced monkeys called micos playing, where for a refresher I could drift away from the digitized screen and admire the rolling and frothing in swell after swell of dense tropical vegetation complete with enormous humanoid sunflowers bowing and swaying. I often fancied myself a latter-day Hemingway scribbling stories on safari, and was always a little dépaysé emerging from my remote African bungalow into the chic hustle and bustle of Rio.

I soon began to entertain hopes of a more sustained, more focused life in letters. Not counting Carnaval week and, later, several days when I was ill, I entered a period of unparalleled productivity that lasted through April during which I finished Book IV, capping it off with “The Last Métro,” and forged ahead into Book V, The Accidental Gringo—transitioning Luke from France to Brazil, staging his farce in emigration, then landing him in the Sasquema household with its multiple layers of intrigue. Initially, I wasn’t sure how to extract him from such a fix. But I had faith if I just kept writing, I’d figure out a way to construct an appropriate dénouement.

Speaking of the Sasquema household, Rita found me before January was out, showing up early one morning as I was slicing a pineapple for breakfast, clutching a tattered suitcase in one bony hand and the boom-box I’d given her for Christmas in the other.

“Meu filho, you’ve changed!” she said tearfully as we embraced.

“How do I look?”

“Better.”

“Your timing, Rita, if not your tact, is impecavel. Por favor, won’t you join me for breakfast?”

“I couldn’t possibly do that, Senhor Luckman.”

“Por favor, call me Sol.”

“I couldn’t possibly do that, Sol.”

I finally prevailed on her to be my guest, which didn’t stop her from trying to wait on me hand and foot. But I’d already made up my mind Rita’s indentured servant days were over. She was getting frail and, though she never complained, you could tell she had a bad back by the way she held her hand over her hip as if her sacrum would fold like an accordion otherwise.

After much lobbying over the course of several days, I succeeded in persuading her to move out of the little dependência (where she’d already set up her shrine to Juscelino, which stayed put) into the spare bedroom. I even offered to hire a maid, a maid for the maid, but that was where Rita drew the line. I think I actually hurt her pride.

“This old bird can still pull her weight, Senhor Luckman.”

“Por favor, call me Sol.”

In the end we settled on a compromise: I would do the bulk of the shopping and help her clean the apartment every other week, and she would do the cooking, washing and laundry. “But no excessive ironing,” I insisted. “I don’t need my underwear or socks ironed, entendeu?”

“Entendi, Senhor Luckman.”

“Por favor, Rita, call me Sol.”

“Entendi, Sol.”

Not counting the inherent debauchery of Carnaval week with its institutionalized strategies for decadence, which I must say I enjoyed firsthand (even though in more sober moments I agree with those who contend Carnaval is just a big smokescreen designed to hide Brazil’s misery behind a drunken, orgiastic haze of “alegria”)—I say, the mayhem of Carnaval aside, while making major strides on my novel I also came to feel more “balanced” as Sol Luckman than I ever had as Luke Soloman.

I purchased a membership to the Clube do Flamengo with its complex of outdoor Olympic pools and started exercising again, stroking back and forth under the crisp azure sky, emerging from the meditative waters to behold the Cristo Redentor atop Corcovado above the amendoeiras, arms outstretched poised for a spectacular high dive, then reclining exhausted and remade all chiseled and tan on the bleachers in the sunshine admiring the occasional toffee-colored Brasileira dripping wet fresh from her own swim.

When I didn’t feel like swimming, I went running around Lagoa, nearly ten kilometers in a circle door-to-door from my building over the course of which I often traveled back in my mind’s eye to Pulpit Hill, to all the times I, or rather Luke, went running from himself that fall when he was just beginning to connect with his lonely calling, crunching the dry leaves as he zipped around the Gargoyle Castle Loop in the chill fall afternoons ...

But filled with bittersweet nostalgia, delicious saudade as such memories were, I liked it better when it rained and washed away Luke’s past, when I, Sol, became temporarily immersed in my own vibrant present—braving the lightning, cool rain feathering down on my hot skin, running with mounting excitement through an exotic landscape peopled with thousands of strangers I longed to befriend.

Rain, even the facsimile thereof, always had that kind of energizing effect on me. I could be sitting on my bed reading, for instance, as a hard rain came pelting down outside on the mata, and suddenly, inexplicably, I’d feel breathtakingly alive. Or I could be woken up in the middle of the night by the rain and experience a massive adrenaline rush of that same wild, lyrical, hedonistic, nose-following energy characteristic of my imaginary life from the outset—only to realize it wasn’t rain but merely the sound of wind in the palms or newspapers blowing across someone’s tile balcony ... It never ceased to amaze me how many things can sound for all the world just like rain.

But back to balance. My newfound sense of equilibrium had something to do with my unfolding relationship with time. Before, as Luke, it had always seemed there was never enough time. Time was a sore spot with me, I was always running out of it.

But now, as Sol—I guess this was another difference between us—I seemed to have an abundance of time, a plethora, enough to do all the things I wanted and more: sleep late, eat well, do my chores, write, exercise, take walks, pay strict attention to ritual by slipping on my Speedo and heading to the beach. I usually grabbed a book and walked down to Posto 9 in Ipanema, a beach that sizzled with enough well-oiled flesh to fulfill even the hungriest carnivore.

Not that I was feeling particularly carnivorous. I typically had more pressing things than chasing tail on my mind. Still, lounging on the soft sand under the hot sun, the world comfortably spinning, I occasionally put down my book and spent the afternoon daydreaming sex—pushed over the edge of desire by a magnificent set of seios, one fine brown bunda too many. I always wished I could bottle the essence of a few of those beauties to take back home and enjoy at my leisure, without all the trouble and interruption of having a real woman in the house.

Most evenings I went out for a nightcap, sometimes in my neighborhood to a placed called the Skipper, sometimes walking back down to Ipanema or even occasionally as far as Copacabana before settling in somewhere and unwinding over a few chopps. Usually, I kept to myself. But every now and then, I’d strike up a conversation with someone. It was easy to tell when a Carioca was making moves on you. The way her words cut simultaneously in both directions, the way her generalizations suggested the particular Moment.

I’m not being vain—just honest. You’d be amazed how many women are tired of the standard macho fare and will practically throw themselves at someone with a little sensitivity. I rarely responded in kind to such advances, but I did come up with many interesting observations on my nights out. I often noticed, for example, how the average Brazilian man was constantly playing with his crotch in public. Did he mean to call attention to it, I wondered, or was he reaching for it like a wallet he feared had been stolen?

I always looked forward to the walk back along the beach, illuminated at intervals by floodlights, making the ocean appear green and unfathomable, liquid emerald. In many ways this was the best part of my day, better even than the morning spent writing, the part where I reconnected with the other half of myself, the half born not of words but of motion.

Even at midnight the beach was packed—a sensory overload of cars, taxis, pedestrians, joggers, bikers, Rollerbladers, tourists, whores, pimps, vendors, dealers, soccer jocks and, of course, your occasional wayward mariner. Feasting on the sights, sounds and smells, catching glimpses of the Redentor floating on a magic carpet of underlit clouds high overhead, listening to snippets of distant pagode as the waves crashed close by, enjoying the mingled scents of caramelo, cigarro and cerveja, I plugged back into the part of me that was and would always be a wanderer, a drifter, a stranger in a strange land, a flâneur strolling through life’s crowded cities.

“Meu coração vagabundo ...” Caetano Veloso’s lyrics often found their way into my thoughts during those pleasantly buzzed strolls. I did have a vagabondish heart, a heart filled with wanderlust—and also just plain lust. My signature desire for Experience, to be a pilgrim on the Experience Trail, to follow the twisted, mapless, sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet path my soul had called me to, had never been greater. Becoming Sol had revived my passionate inner explorer, reawoken the Bunyanesque traveler in me, injected my spirit again with dreams both wet and dry.

Even after so many changes and challenges, I still longed for the Adventure, I still yearned to play in the Magic. That was the romantic in me. I was twenty-seven and it was almost too easy to get caught up in romance with oneself in Rio.

There were times, hardly rare, when it seemed I’d never grow old, never tire, never die. And though romance be illusory, a construct that has nothing to do with reality per se, I vowed to maintain it alive and well in me, vowed to preserve that one fragment of wholeness even as wholeness, in a world falling apart at the seams, was itself fragmented. This was my Keatsian project for my new incarnation, my own Negative Capability. Amid the slings and arrows of the steady decline of Western “civilization,” I would insist on dreaming myself whole until, like Adam, I awoke to find my dream come true.

But to be fair, my dreams (sometimes cleverly disguised as nightmares) had always had a way of coming true—mostly because I was stubborn enough to keep dreaming, but at least in part because the universe was generally willing to lend a hand. Thus it was that yet another dream of mine came true when I least expected it.

Starting around Carnaval, I began running into this one particular fellow on a regular basis. In most ways he was utterly nondescript—so nondescript, in fact, he was altogether remarkable.

He was probably, I don’t know, in his forties, though he could have been decades older or decades younger. His build was somewhere between average and—depending on the lighting—slightly stout or somewhat slight. His hair wasn’t especially short or long. His facial features were both highly distinctive and belonging to no one. In fact, he didn’t seem to possess the defining characteristics of any race and stood out in my mind as a sort of unique gray.

There was something of the chameleon in his nature with which I identified when I thought about it—which I didn’t until I started encountering him everywhere: dancing in the Sambódromo during one of Carnaval’s big desfiles when he handed me a handkerchief dipped in a mild hallucinogen for sniffing called lança perfume ... coming to my senses on the beach in Leme the following sunrise beside a buxom mulatta to find him, whoever he was, asleep beside another mulatta nearby ... hanging out drinking a chilled coco recharging my dead batteries in preparation for another evening of fun that Fat Tuesday at a barraca in Arpoador when life had temporarily grown calm again like a wave that had crashed and fantailed out across the sand ... at the appetizer table during a ritzy post-Carnaval birthday party in Botafogo I’d been invited to by a stranger when I spent the evening chatting with a female veterinarian with an ugly face but a killer body, about dogs ... dining alone a couple weeks later on a Candomblé night (when Rita didn’t cook) at my favorite restaurant, Bozo, in Leblon, when I discovered him (also by himself) seated at an adjacent table having exactly the same meal I was having: baked badejo, quiabo casserole and ice-cold chopp.

The last time I ran into him, and the only time we ever actually spoke, was at a strip joint in my old stomping ground, Avenida Prado Júnior in Copacabana. This was in late April a good two months after Carnaval. That very day I’d completed the final chapter of Book V, “The Vendetta,” and begun this the first chapter of Book VI, tentatively entitled Morphametosis.

There was some kind of kinky black-leather orgy thing happening onstage that had me gripped with a morbid fascination. All of a sudden, this same nondescript guy shows up, sits down at my table grinning like he could be anybody and we could be any old friends, and introduces himself as none other than the author-protagonist, the eponymous Ralfo, of my all-time favorite novel, As Confissões de Ralfo.

“Or if you like, ‘Sol,’ you can call me Sérgio.”

“Sérgio? As in Sant’Anna?”

“As in.”

“Are you for real?” I blurted out, somewhere between incredulous and star-struck like a teenage boy whose life revolves around basketball watching Michael Jordan casually stroll through the door.

“No. That’s precisely the point.”

I admit it was strange—but then what about my imaginary life isn’t strange? Strange and filled with impossible Magic, with absurdly profound stories taking place in the written world true as only fiction can be.

“You’re, like, my hero!” I gushed.

“No, Sol, you’re, like, mine.”

This was almost too much. My hero was actually calling me his hero. For an aspiring writer, it was like having Jack Kerouac come up and awkwardly beg for your autograph. I pinched myself to verify it was really happening. It wasn’t, of course, but its impact on me was no less validating.

“Or should I call you Luke?”

“It doesn’t matter. Call me whatever you like. It’s all the same.”

“I know what you mean.”

“Yes, I imagine you do.”

“I just wanted to give you my personal parabéns on your masterpiece-in-progress before you move on.”

“Before I—move on?”

“As you’re going to be doing any day now.”

“I see.”

“And please forgive me for kibitzing in the middle of your narrative, but I especially enjoyed ‘Doutor Soloman Enters Brazil.’ I was quite flattered, in fact. It was so obviously a takeoff of that chapter in my novel where Ralfo is interrogated by the Goddamn City police. No one has ever paid me homage like that.”

“Plagiarism is the highest form of flattery.”

“Well said.”

“Really, when it comes right down to it, there are only copies.”

“Indeed.”

We ordered the first of many rounds of coqueteis and spent the rest of the evening talking literature, or rather lamenting the sorry state of it, commiserating the way realism had bedded down with capitalism and pseudo-science to relegate the likes of fictitious entities such as ourselves to the status (or lack thereof) of marginal figures, curiosities at best.

“But the times are changing, Sol. Mark my words. The day will soon come when people wake up to the fact that the only true reality lies in the imagination.”

“I sure hope you’re right.”

“I am. Trust me.”

We were both bombed when, hours later, we parted with a hug and a fraternal “Boa sorte” on the sidewalk. It must have been four in the morning. I watched him wobble into a taxi headed for his home in Laranjeiras, then turned and strolled up Prado Júnior, hanging a right onto Nossa Senhora de Copacabana with the heat lightning flickering silently in the reddish sky in a way that struck me as—somehow—already a poignant reminder of itself, a mnemonic device with which someday to recall my time in Rio.

No, it didn’t make sense—but the feeling things were about to change was almost palpable. I imagined I could hear the Voice of the Road calling my name as I crossed a strangely deserted Avenida Atlântica and, removing my shoes, walked close along the empty shoreline contemplating, in the wake of my tête-à-tête with Sérgio/Ralfo, my own dual career as a writer and fictional human being.

I realized there was actually precious little that separated the two, that as a human being I was learning to be a writer, and as a writer I was learning to be a human being ... And then it occurred to me, approaching Ponta de Arpoador, I’d spent my entire imaginary life learning how to take a walk.

This is a metaphor, of course. The beauty of a metaphor, as I’ve remarked elsewhere, is it doesn’t have to be real to ring true. When I say I’d spent my whole life learning how to take a walk, I’m aiming at something a little larger than putting the leash on Fido and taking him out for his daily spin. I really mean I’d been learning how to take a walk. I still wasn’t very good at it. As Luke I’d become such an expert at doing I’d never truly learned how to go about being.

Now, as Sol, I was working on—or playing at—just being. The next morning, undoubtedly, I would return to doing—but when I did, I hoped I wouldn’t forget how to be, hoped I might find a way to marry the doing with the being, transcend dialectics, combine Art and Life in the singular act of existing.

I lit a cigarette, a clove I happened to have in my pocket, and walked in the water smoking it, thinking how I was indeed extremely happy with this person I’d become, thinking how if I died right then and there, if thieves murdered me in cold blood and my body bobbed trailing red ink out to sea, it had been a terrific imaginary life. Call me crazy, but I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

A waning gibbous was sailing in and out of sparse clouds, a swollen ruby banana of a moon like a strobe in the heat lightning radiating the limitless possibilities of the Moment, a coagulated spheroid like a living cell under a microscope teeming with enzymes, ribosomes and DNA hovering above the dark brooding ocean. Every time I gazed up at it, my own blood coursed faster through my veins, as if I’d just stuck my finger into the socket of the world, into the Magic of it all. Electric Luke. Rather: electric Sol.

I seemed to have lost none of my receptive powers, not even an inch off the old internal antennae that had so many times before put me in contact with the Adventure, the sparkling effervescent stuff of life itself: in a word, in my dear dead friend Malcolm’s word, with It.

If anything, It now played a larger role than It ever had—if only because I’d allowed myself to experience It’s underside, the dark subterranean complement to the shiny happy semisphere above. Again, to borrow a Malcolmism, I’d permitted myself to C the Big Picture. For better or for worse, for better and for worse, I’d been C-ing the Big Picture through a combination of self-motivated eye-opening and seemingly random events spawned by chaos itself that had slapped me into consciousness like a newborn receiving his first cruel whack across the bottom.

Of course, the biggest slap had been Malcolm himself. No whimpers there—he’d gone out with a bang. I was just glad I could remember him now without so much pain, though every now and then I got to thinking, for one reason or another, he’d never died, that it was getting time I should visit him again in the Funhouse ... Then all of a sudden it was as if he’d fallen off that ledge only yesterday ... Then I realized he actually lived on in me, that I’d not only internalized but externalized him, emulating not only his attitudes but his very person.

And what would Malcolm have done on such a glorious night but precisely what I did? What would he have done, feeling It enter him like one of Zeus’s thunderbolts, suddenly feeling at one with It, feeling so far out there, so in the middle of nowhere, yet at the same time so at the center of It all, so now here—I say, what would Malcolm have done but spontaneously strip off his clothes, streak naked across the cool night sand, and jump like a madman into the unseen ocean?

Resurfacing, I stood lit up like a Christmas tree in the middle of the surging waves, gazing up at that miracle of a moon, vowing to take some of It with me, inside, so I could nibble on It whenever I was especially in need of an upper, whenever I found myself drowning like Davie Jones in the seaweed of monotony and tedium.

Inspired, I breathed in the Moment and was breathed by it, by It, Tonight, tonight on my lips, a wayward mariner on the wave-washed prow of my little life’s ship navigating the cosmos ... Feeling something like sandpaper brush against my thigh, I instinctively reached down and fished up a huge curling starfish out of the sea.

When I finally struggled up onto the beach with my starfish, I discovered the current had taken me down a ways from where I’d abandoned my clothes. I was standing in my birthday suit beside the hump of a makeshift sand altar to Iemanjá—flowers, shells, extinguished candles and burnt incense precisely arranged on a manmade dune. Having no other offering, there with the moon flickering down showering the scene with mystical dust, I knelt beside the altar and, with a simple prayer of thanks, placed the starfish exactly in the middle.

The following afternoon, having slept late and written little, I ventured down to Posto 9. While I was there, a giant stingray came swimming along close to shore, an enormous silent shadow gliding by just beneath the water’s surface, and everybody stood up to watch.

At first people thought it was a shark or maybe a whale. But then up and down the beach you could hear the shouting: “Raia! Raia!” All the surfers and favela kids went crazy and started swimming after it and throwing empty coconuts at it.

But I just stood there at the crossroads of the Moment, conscious It was about to propel me back into motion and onto the road again—conscious that the dark figure wasn’t a shark or a whale or really even, truth be known, a stingray. It was Iemanjá showing up to wish her protégé a boa viagem. And até logo.
